replacing the bpv with a bov wont kill the turkey?
why does it have to be a dual set up?
so do you get turkey with CAI only? I am installing a SRI tomorrow, will I have the turkey too?
yes sir you will have yourself a turktastic MSP the car does it stock, its just that the plastic air box muffles the sound. what intake are you going to be using??

it doesn't HAVE to be a dual setup, you can relocate the MAF to run just a BOV but if you don't, the air need to recirculate through the BPV or the car will run like a wet horses turd
Oh, i thought the sound was compressor surge created by the increase in air and that is why you need to do the dual set up to get rid of it.
So if I replace the OEM BPV with a forge BPV and add a Forge BOV, I wont have the turkey sound?
You need larger fittings on the intake and IC pipe to fully kill the surge with a single BPV. You can do it that way, or run the dual setup like you are saying there and either way will kill the surge.

You aren't hurting the car by adding a CAI, the car comes with the turkey from Mazda. I personally love the turkey sound. My favorite thing about the car is making people on the sidewalks and drivers with their windows rolled down turn their head, and go "WTF?"
when running the dual bpv/bov setup, in order to not hear turkey, you need a lager fitting from the hotpipe to the BPV (say 1") run the BPV line to the brake booster and just add the bov (say HKS) to coldpipe and the turkey will be gone correct?
