so, updates again!

been getting a couple hours here and there between jobs to do work on the truck!

ive been fighting the steering for the last couple of days, and a couple knuckle prints in the door of the house later, i decided to move on to something else. im pretty much over working on the cab of this f***ing truck, and i dont wanna mess something up cuz im angry, so i moved on to getting the taillights in and done...

so i tacked in the buckets and then trimmed them the rest of the way and then stitch welded them up...

just needs some finish work and itll be ready for mud!

so, i did the passenger light, then i moved to the driver side, and s*** wasnt going my way(imagine that) so i said f*** it and move onto bigger and better things!

my buddy has been working on tubbing his bed and all that fun ish, so i got the bug to start on my bed. its nice to start a new project, even though i havent finished many lol, especially because its a lot of cutting and welding, whic is what i really enjoy doing, so i decided imma redo my whole bed setup and so it begins!

the arduous task of cutting everything that is unwanted out of the bed begins!

i hve been thinking of what i want to do to my bed for sometime now, and so it was finally time to put my plan into action. u will always end up changing things up a bit as u do them, since it looks different in real life than on paper, but u guys will get the basic idea of it. i am getting rid of the aluminum fuel tank and getting a poly race fuel cell and also using a smaller air tank and hiding my valves for my bags...

i see bare frame! gonna have to fab up some new bed mounts!

the first side is easy, but replicating it on the other side is the tough part!

so basically the rear fender tubs are going to be the reverse of the front tubs in the engine bay...

u get the idea!

there is going to be a lot involved with this bed including building a whole new bed frame under it using 1x1 square stock for rigidity like i did on the floor of the cab...

all tacked in on both sides...

ruh roh raggy! air tank gone!

gas tank is also gone now along with the valves off the top of the bag mounts. everything will be relocated and hidden! u guys r gonna love this!

Also here is a idea.. make a storeage compartment between the tubs and the front of the bed! So the top you have tacked down opens uplike a door or something. Make them lock and put a emergency air bar kit in it, valve, switches ect ect

I like that idea a lot. I'm all about functionality, so I love that stuff!

There will be storage and access areas that open up for the gas tank and air fittings and battery access and such! Already a step ahead of y'all!

Slowly but surely...

I've got the rest of this week, then I go back to work for two weeks and then have another week off. Then go back to work for two weeks. Then my next week off I load the truck up and head to southern missouri for a show!

Been making progress this week, but not as much as I wanted, but it will get done!

well, its a super s***ty day here today, and i cant really do anything until the wifey gets off of work since i have both kids today, so i decided to update this!

first off, i have just been doing a lot of fab and all that fun s***, so these updates may not be super interesting to you guys, but its something that has to be done.

anywho, i had a custom shift knob made for me for this truck. its acrylic and perfectly clear! im happy with it. just tall enough and heavy enough for my liking!

just a cool pic i took. shows the huge rear window opening and the rhd dash and also got all my filler pieces cut for my tailights and ready for bodywork!

my buddy davey showed up( its always nice to have friends that work in a body shop).
thankfully he was ready for work, cuz he is way better at body work than i am( i just dont have the patience)

he put over five hours into the taillights before we called it a day. they arent done, but it will have to do for now....

one of my buddies just sold his project, so he had some slam specialties bags brand new and a brand new compressor and other things he needed to get rid of, so me, not being able to pass up a deal, took all the stuff off his hands...

not sure y all these pics turned out blurry, but oh well i guess...

heres my new airtank mounted. i know, it needs painted and stuff, but for now, it is gonna be covered, and itll do the job... someday it will be painted!
also ran all new airline and moved my valves...

wired switchbox up and getting ready to lift it off the ground for the first time in a year!

Well the paint isn't the color I wanted, but it turned out well.

ya, that's pretty much all the way up I believe. I thought that I could clear tire on the front last time I had it lifted, but I guess not. Sure is gonne be a b**** to turn...

Oh, and the hood is popped on the honda so I can run my compressor on my truck off of the battery of the honda. I'm pretty sure this battery on the truck is toast, so I have to jump from the car to the truck to run my compressor and my switch box and all that fun s***...
