Battery drain due to ventilated seats (2019-2022 CX-5)

The problem is that a hall effect meter will not ever read zero due to background noise.
I know I'm being a bit anal here, so forgive me, but these meters work on electromagnetic induction, not Hall effect, which is a different thing (most commonly used in sensors that detecting rotation via spinning discs with embedded magnet(s))).

Thanks for the input and suggestions! Much appreciated. Will try this weekend.

Well, color me embarrassed. I only knew of A/C clamp meters, so that would explain my error. :(
Yup that is the differentiator. I sought the DC capabilities since I would be using it with cars. For home electrician type use only, you can use the AC version which is cheaper. I don't find myself using the DC clamp that often but it's nice to have one tool that can do it all.
