So this is what happened.. back in july i blew my motor and i have finally gotten around to getting a new motor put in. The motor died when i was driving around really low on oil (i didnt know i had a leak) and blew a rod. ive been working with a mom and pop shop cuz i knew the family, but ill never work with them again, the car was supposed to be done six weeks ago.. they've wasted a lot of time and money on this shop. Anyways i was expecting to pick up the car today, but they called me and said that there was a "rattling" coming from my tranny, that couldve been caused when the motor seized. I went to check it out today and took it for a little test drive.. they said it was probably one of the front bearings on the trans. While they worked on the car i had them put in the ACT street clutch and lightened flywheel set up and a Medieval rear motor mount (dog bone style). i heard the "rattling" when the car was idling but it didnt seem like it was too serious.. my question is what could the rattling be?
i was thinking it could be chatter from the new clutch and the added vibrations of the motor mount.. if it was a bearing is that something i could drive around with if i dont push the car until i have the cash to take the tranny apart?
also my clutch pedal seems much softer with the clutch/fw setup.. is that normal?
