Hey,
So I live in MN and it has been super cold for the past month. I had the transmission rebuilt 2 weeks ago, and with this new fluid I have noticed that it is almost impossible to shift gears I normally have to wait 5-10 min before I can even get it into reverse, they told me they put in 80w90 transmission oil. He said said changing to synthetic oil, or changing to ATF in the winter and going back to 80w90 in the summer would help. I understand that when it is -10degrees outside there really isn't anything to do, but I mean there have been plenty of days at about 15 and the transmission is fairly solid. I'm just looking for advice from some of the members stuck in the cold weather.
