Hey Guys,

I traded in my Protege5 today.

But I got a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed instead! :D I'll still be on the forums, just look for me over in the Mazdaspeed section and I still have love for the 5 but I got a deal I couldn't pass up with sweet financing and a good deal on my trade and the $1500 mazda rebate to top it all off.

Cheers!

glad to see you stayed in the family at least. Congrats on the MSP, be sure to post soem pics of your new ride for us to see!

Be sure to come and visit us here in the P5 forums some time. Show some love to us little people. :p

so, youre gonna start postwhoring and making threads about how great your car is every 5 sec.?
lol, just kidding

You Bastard! (protest) Wish I could afford to dump my MP5 for a MSP. :(

nope, new threads every day about how wonderful my car is. LOL but I do love it! Maybe threads every day about the clunk or the hesitation whenever those issues come up LOL.

And let's just say that if my P5 had a stick instead of an auto in it I would still be driving that and looking at a turbo kit instead.

Welcome to the darkside my friend! Muhahahahahaha!

Congatulations on the new purchase! Have fun and be careful to baby your found spooling beauty!

What options and how many miles did you have on your P5, and what was the trade in value?

In My opinion still not enough, but it broke down like this:

2003 Laser Blue Protege5 with Auto/Leather/ABS and premium Alpine system/Window Tint/Clifford Solaris Alarm

The bad thing for me is it was really high mileage for a car that was only 10 months old. I had 20,000 miles on it already.

But I got them to give me $12,500 in trade which was about $2,500 more then they initially offered and pretty much blue book high. Also nearly covered what I had left on my loan.

congrats on the new wheels....at least you kept it in the family!

and you certainly couldn't go wrong with that color!!! (stash)

congrats on the msp! Curious, what did you pay with the rebate and everything?

I could have had one a black one or an orange one with 250+ miles on it for a little less, but I loved the yellow with 2 miles on the odometer.

They did 19,500 after the rebate, i could have gotten the others for less, but I liked the yellow and it took me a long time to get them to take the car down to MSRP before the $1,500 rebate. Kept going on and on, about it's a limited car, we only get so many, etc... etc.... Plus this is Silicon Valley and things are so damn expensive here anyway, I am pretty happy with the deal. I might have been able to get a slightly better deal elsewhere or pay less for the black or orange with more miles on it, but I liked this one.

And like i said, that one hadn't been abused by anybody yet and I like the way the 03.5s look :D
