I saw that back in August. Retailers are supposed to stop selling it immediately... When I looked back in August no one had stopped selling it so I thought it was a hoax. But I don't see it anywhere now.

Can't open the link at work but I'm guessing because it's blue? Good thing I switched over the the regular Type-200 or whatever earlier this year. I still don't quite understand why blue brake fluid wouldn't be DOT-approved. I mean, we have differently-colored coolant out there and that's apparently not a problem. Does it look too much like windshield washer fluid?

That's exactly the problem. It's a federal regulation that brake fluid be amber in color. I believe that all coolant should be green as well. Apparently color coding is necessary because people are stupid.

Typically places that sold Super Blue online would have little disclaimers that it's not the correct color and was for off road use only. The Typ-200 is still available so it's not a big deal.
