I loved our minivan. We were able to pile a lot of stuff in there and go whenever we wanted and still be able to have room for 2 or 3 adults. Pretty handy if you ask me. I called it my chick magnet.

Yeah. I do miss the extra room of the mini-van, but it was junk. An this newer car gets a lot better fuel mileage.

Are you sure OZ's are forged?

i thought they were, i know theres forged version of the OZ Superleggera's, its hard digging info up on a set of wheels that havent been made for over 8 years now though

Depends on what he has. I believe regular OZ's are not forged, but they do make forged versions.

yeah, ill keep digging, ive seen other superleggera's that have been forged, and others where guys dont say one way or the other... i am not completely sure which mine are, and info seems to be spotty, so id rather err on the side of caution.

I have your solution. I had always wanted to do this, and I finally did it with the smart car.

You never see both sides at once. Compromise and paint one side teal and one side purple. It's fun when taking pics, it's fun when passing people on the highway, and it's fun when even friends do a double take.

funny you bring that up, i had thought about that and would be open to it... but my issue right now is that i cant find a hue/shade/finish of a teal that i like. i found a purple that i like and my plan was to test the colors on one of the winter wheels to see how they would look before actually going onto the car.

Saw a pretty interesting widebody kit for the miata.. Made me wonder if I should upgrade to 16s for more wide tire choices. Look at R1R, widest is 225 still. Went on tirerack.... There is pretty much no viable option for the Miata as far as keeping it small enough OD to fit inside the fenderwells (23"). Starting to get a wee bit angry. I'd need a 30 series sidewall on anything above 265 width (none of which exist that I could see, they are all 65+).

Why didn't I just tub the stupid thing! Ugh.

that sucks :/ but with a set of flares do you think you could get anything to fit? or you are running into the height/too tall issue

I don't really like flares so I haven't paid too much attention to their installation BUT unless you can place the entire tire outside of the inner body on the front, it wouldn't help solve anything :/

I can't get to the pic of the FM car with meaty tires and how close it is but here's a stretched tire pic to show what I mean... Lol.
