The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I just heard back, jumping the car didn't work and resetting the ECU didn't either. The needles don't flutter anymore and the horn works but it won't turn over. They're going to take it to a tires plus to check the alternator and most likely replace the battery

Yea. We had one of those at Deals Gap with 6Crew. Aaron went out for a drive to the store, came back. We all jumped in the car to go again, and his wouldn't jump for anything. Its amazing how 1 dead cell makes the car a complete brick.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes guys, it is appreciated! Marc, we are packing stuff left and right and we are going to be moving the car parts, tires, wheels etc this week as well.

Yea, battery is toast. They never last more than 2 years

fwiw, we JUST replaced marlon's OEM battery from his '04 6waggin at 80something thousand miles ...

^cheap Autozone battery for the win! (At least 3 years)

that's what we did. I had to replace mine a couple of years ago ...

^ Tires Plus knows her car quite well...

so sorry she seems to have gotten a lemon : / we've had no major issues with either of ours ...

it was over 90K when it was replaced, dear wife and the car is 8+ years old.........not bad....

I don't think she has a lemon, she just hasn't done all the maintenance I told her to do since it was a used car with 60+k miles when she got it...

Tire Plus reset the ECU and everything is fine now, battery is OK

Fedex finally delivered my roof rack. Time to convert the P5 to family truckster mode. Wish me luck with the install. We leave for Lime rock in the morning and I have to have the roof rack on so I can mount the cargo box. Oh the joys of traveling with babies. Everytime we go somewhere for more than a day it looks like Andrew is moving out.

Haha! To leave them at home. You could fill up a little cat bowl with food and water, they'll figure it out eventually.

You know more about kids than I thought you did, you seem ready to have a flock of your own.
