Kevin's CAI is like 1 inch off the ground with no protection whatsoever

Get a K&N pre-filter, fo sho. I had a lot of problems with my filter and MAF getting wet and my car would run like poo after the swap. Since I got the pre-filter I haven't had a problem since.

And did you ever get the lower splash shield installed?

i'm putting it back to SRI before this weekend for my road trip back the folks place in WI (also getting an alignment, oil change, and new wipers!)

don't worry, it wouldn't be another engine swap...it'd be a junk yard car and trading in the msm for a new 2 or 3!

Sorry, I meant with my KL intake setup. When I ran that very same AEM CAI I didn't have a single issue with the filter or MAF getting wet. Of course, I avoided all puddles, even the smallest ones. I hydrolocked my Civic once and now I'm paranoid. Put that splash shield on, guy! Like Ivan said, no more motor swap for a couple months.

Well, after mulling this over for a couple of months, we've decided to add and Mazda to the stable!!!! A 2012 Speed 3!!!!!
