The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

MonkeyAss, you can have the Khumo's, no problem. I've got 4 of them and they will certainly last the rest of the summer. They are pretty much down to the wear bars but I didn't have any problems in the rain with them or anything. And they don't have any patches or cuts or anything.

edit- I lied. I only have 3. One of them was an engine stand for my old motor on it's way to Josh's house. Sorry, mang.

Adam, I thought I had more in there but the 3 from my GF's Audi are shot. And I've got 2 spare Paradas and 2 spare NT-O1's I should hang on to. Sorry, man.

Evan, if you need to borrow an engine stand I can bring mine over sometime. I have it sitting at my parents where I've used it twice and don't plan on using it any time soon.

and ill just take 2 so you can toss 1 of em if ya want haha

Thanks for the offer, Corey. Phen and I were talking about the engine hoist. He has an engine stand as well but I should really just start buying my own stuff. But thank, buddy!

Levi and Adam, I don't care who gets the tires, I just want them out of the garage. heh-heh

Talked to the shop today about the 626. He said he got ambushed with a project or something this weekend, and he said he'll do his best to have it done by Wed. I dropped it off on the 26th and was told 3-4 days. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, as I know how things can pop up, but if it's not done by Wed, I'm going to be pretty steamed. I want my car back! (cryhard) I could have friggin done it myself by now. I thought it would be quicker this way (I'm a procrastinator, lol), but obviously that wasn't the case.

Off topic..but I was FINALLY able to get in my classroom today! After a scare and some tears of being in the wrong room, I was shown my own room and it was like Christmas! I am so excited it is unreal! I cant wait to have it filled with little ones as excited as I am!!!!

Now I need somewhere to live...any suggestions between Fairlawn, Montrose, Bath, Hinkley, Peninsula, areas around there...open to suggestions!!! I would be willing to do about a 20 minute commute to Macedonia (where my school is) and hopefully closer to home (Medina) the better! :)

Do they let you decorate the walls with your own stuff?

Survived my first night shift, only 2 1/2 months to go! I'm doing inventory because it was 40 hours guarantee

Front springs are done on the Bavaria. Now with more lows. In all honesty, it wasn't the ride height that was killing me, but the fact that it was so soft that I felt like I was going to fall out of the door in corners. So far, much better.

So I survived the Glen this past weekend.

I've never been to a DE event where there were so many incidents. The first day there were probably 8 spins/off-tracks and 4 of those resulted in contact with another car. I managed to catch one of them on video. Half of the sessions were rainy and several more people decided to try their luck in the rain and ended up added light blue racing stripes to their car courtesy of the Glen's Armco.

I'm surprised how much fun I had at the track despite having a stock Miata. The big uphill climb out of the toe of the boot was murder for my car with no horsepower. I think I could walk up the hill faster.

Edit: Here is the video of the incident that I witnessed: http://youtu.be/N7oBIlQpSR4

Yeppers! I decided that I am going to have a frog theme to my room and we will be something cute like the little jumpers or something like that. I have tons of frog stuff I have gotten at garage sales and such. I will also get a pet frog for the class to play with and take care of. Everything was organized so neatly from the teacher who was in there before that I have very little to do on that end of things. I just need to add my homey touch on it all so its "me". I also have to decorate it with my frog stuff and the walls with "hoppy Helpers" and birthdays and fun stuff like that. And I need to get all my centers ready (library, house, art, circle time, etc.)....I have more work to do than I thought! Oh well! I am still really excited!
I am so excited and one of the wonderful things about that classroom is that it already had lots of glitter!!! The following video is pretty much me (maybe a little too toned down but you will get the idea) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glquKfXhLFo

By any chance could you use some classroom helpers? I think that Jen I would be willing to help out, in the afternoon hours of course.

Will, what was that guy thinking? There was no way in hell he would finish that pass before the bus-stop. The smart move would have been to fall in between you and the guy who got his car jacked up and wait to pass later. Like in the boot.

omg that is terrible!!! what a moron! i hope he got screamed at!
what group were you driving in?

I have absolutely no idea. He claimed that he had a pass signal from the Boxster in front of me (he changed his tune after I showed him the video). He then tried to say that he was going way to fast and couldn't slow down, but I think he tried to pass that Boxster on purpose. I don't think that he should've even passed me, I gave him the pass signal before I shifted into 5th thinking that his 944 Turbo would be able to get by me no problem.

The 944 got the worst of the damage, but neither car were very bad. The 944 had a big dent and some scratches, and the Boxster only had some scratches.

I was in the White group. This event was with the Northern New Jersey PCA, so they use a color coding system. Black = Most Advanced, then White, then Blue (runs with white but has an instructor), then Green. So technically he should've known what he was doing.

Yeah it was a strange group. In talking to the Boxster guy later he said that he was going to ask the 944 guy to pay for his damage. I never followed up to see what the 944 guy said about it though.

I would say that an exchange of info would have been the right thing to do. What a bonehead!

Yeah it was crazy. I'm just glad they didn't stop on the track or something even more stupid.

Sorry I meant Engine Hoist. I have a engine stand too, but for some reason I was thinking about that instead of the hoist when I was typing. Your more than welcome to borrow it if you'ld like.
