It's the simple 12V DC s*** that throws me off now and then... because on paper, it really is simple. All of the equations are basic calculus 1 at the most. I just do everything on paper A LOT more than in reality.

my $15 multimeter does everything I need, I don't like doing it but most of the time its simple + common sense. Phens oscilloscope looks pretty sweet, I wouldn't mind having one of those
I wish they made trailer wiring tester style testers for everything. Hook it up, see which LEDs come on. Does one not come on that should? Bam, problem. Do all the LEDs come on at the connector but there's still a problem with 1 of the lights? It's not the truck, it's the trailer. Re-do the wiring. Bam-done.

someone mentioned the fuel pump relay, which kind of makes sense since the two clicks were within 1 second from each other and I didn't loose power, but why didn't the engine start back up again since it was still in gear? maybe i needed to cycle the ignition? if it was a relay it was close enough for me to hear it (with my bad hearing and the top down)

Could restaurants have anything to do with it? If I read your post right there were restaurants involved on both occasions. Without a CEL, I would guess that there could be some sort of bad connection, like a ground.
maybe if it was the same restaurant, but it wasnt

i must say, whether joking or not... i have to give Phen some credit, cause if i took the kind of bashing/jokes/etc that he takes id have flipped the **** out on alot of people a while back... there is good natured ribbing then there is going too far, and i believe you Pablo have crossed the line on that last one...
making a joke about your car trying to tell you not to eat out as much when you had issues both times coming from a resturaunt is a joke at the odd similarity of the situation, turning a joke to put it on another member about something as childish/immature like weight is crossing the line and completely uncalled for.

well, this is what I get for not using magenta font. I wasn't calling him fat, I was trying to say if my car is calling me fat with 2 stupid issues, then I don't know what Lindsey is telling Phen with all his issues, so I could have worded it better

i think lindsey is just a crazy ***** in need of a firm backhand from time to time, shes currently going through the withdrawal phase of no drugs and kicking and screaming the whole way through...
hopefully both of you figure the issues out with your cars, and hopefully neither is a difficult/expensive fix

Not sure if he'll come back and respond again, but he was saying there may be a short in it, causing your car to shut off, but not lose power. There was actually an episode of top gear where it happened to one of the guys.
