The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Yup! Just going for a leisurely cruise, like a parade lap the whole time.

Oh you... You know what I mean though. Jon, if you were buying a sports car wouldn't you want a manual? Heck, even if I was buying just a boring around town car I would still want a manual. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rules, if you have bad knees, live in NYC, etc. But in Ohio, I would prefer a manual over an auto any day.
Haha! Yeah, I still prefer manual, which is why the 2 is a 5-speed but I won't necessarily fault a car for not having it. I do absolutely hate traditional automatics but even they've come along a ways (our Flex isn't TOO bad). Manuals only get aggrivating on long drives. Maybe I'm getting old but I don't mind putting around town in an auto as much as I used to. That and there is something fun about solely being able to focus on steering, throttle, and brake input in sports cars. I still think everyone's first car should be a manual though because it teaches people to pay more attention.

If you guys meet up in Brooklyn, you can pick me up. Just sayin'

Pablo, i have to stop by the vzw store next to the hyundai dealer on Ridge after work to drop off an lcd monitor, i could pick you up when im done with that. Work is giving me mileage for it, so i could take you back from fairlawn as well

some of them are actually really nice now, the auto in my dads Ram has a slap shift in the middle console and allows you to downshift and upshift and its pretty damn responsive with gear selections. actually feels like i have same control as my manual just no third pedal haha

My dad has a Mk2 Audi TT 2.0t. It has the dual-clutch auto transmission and paddle shifters. It's pretty crazy how responsive the transmission is. Upshifts are crazy fast and downshifts are fast and smooth. I still prefer a manual transmission.

They need to design a transmission system that combines a manual and auto. So in manual mode, the shifter is a normal 6-speed and you have a clutch pedal. Then you switch to automatic mode and the clutch pedal retracts out of the way, with the car automatically shifting gears for you. This would be sweet.

Thank you for picking up my man, Sho.

#2, that's actually a very clever idea with the clutch pedal. You should patent that!

I've actually thought about that. Too bad I have no engineering experience, otherwise I would draw that s*** up in some kind of 3D CAD application like Solid Works or AutoCAD.

Ask Jess or MonkeyAss, then send it off to Bill. Boom! Then you'll be a millionaire!

Yep! That's how I made my first million. I had the idea of electro-magnetic trains. Patented that s*** when I was 10. I just choose to be poor so I don't get all arrogant and cocky.

HAHA they say your first million is the hardest....

I'm not sure how this relates but your comment made me think of it:
