The "Device" is here !!

Thats right the Linux had is overnighted and Port is the beta tester on this one becuse of his knock.

One note - when you do get it, drop the fuel pressure. We're using about 65-70 psi on ours.

Keith

No problem, I assume its in your directions also.

Can you answer the when piece of that?

Sorry, "1st MP3 in NH" isn't in our customer records :) Why don't you guys sign your names?

They were all shipped out on Thursday, UPS Ground. CA should be getting theirs Tuesday, TX should be Tuesday or Wednesday and NH should be Friday.

Keith

Ok I talked to Bill a couple of different times and finally we came to a conclusion... Its my FPR its either faulty, stuck, or dirty.. or ALL OF THE ABOVE. I'm going to call Corky tomorrow and see what he suggest.

It seems like I've been the beta tester on all that concerns the BEGI/FM kit on a MP3. :(

Yeah, that's nutts... I haven't had anyhting like that happen. I heard ping tonight, but at full boost and after holding full boost at mid-half throlle for more than 2 seconds..... Just waiting on the "device". Anyone at FM informed on when I may get mine?

This may sound really stupid and already checked. Make sure your heat shield is not hitting the top of your turbo. Dont slap me!

Installed the device tonight. Interesting if you have no experience with car electronics at all, am in the dark and still in work clothes, hehe.... But with the great instructions-I was able to get through it. High Five goes to FM :)

I took it for one test run onto the freeway and hit 100 before the on ramp ended-heard no ping. So that is good news. The othe rthing I noticed is that my idle seems to be lower after I added the device.. Is this possible?

I'll boost the car to 8psi tomorrow, then we'll test some more.

At idle, you're not making boost. So the voltage clamp is bypassed and everything works just like it should.

Assuming that you did actually install it correctly in the dark. :)

The biggest change you'll probably notice is that the car will lose that "rubber band" feeling it used to have. You could feel the car start to pull hard at 4500 or wherever it went open loop - and the engine got the fuel it needed. On a sustained run through the gears, the ECU was staying open loop most of the time so the device should have no effect. It's driving around the street that you should notice the change.

Keith

Yes, I noticed just that. Everything felt much smoother... No surprises while driving through the streets.

I'm sure I installed it all correctly, I have a trusty maglite on my wing, hehe. although I'm sure my neighbors were wondering why my hood was popped and I was cursing like nobodies business.
:p

But what else is new.. ahha

Well, if I could have gotten my hands on a kit, I would be...But I guess i will be beta number two if all goes well...

And for Keith,
Chris

I got mine and installed it tonight.
Didn't cut myslef once
(owned)

The car does seem to pull hard at partial boost.
Thanks for helping out Keith.

Turn down your fuel now at boost to 65-70 PSI. I have mine at 75 PSI at boost for now. I have noticed that my Air/Fuel ratio gauge (Autometer) is showing me running not as rich at cruise speed. It is great! I think it pulls better.

but but but but-remember 1st is running at 8psi.. So he should be about 85 isn't that right?

i have yet to join the elite ranks of the "forced inducted" but it is exciting to see things develope. Great job FM!
