Anyway, I've got an oil leak from the bottom of the compressor housing and oil blow by out of the compressor from my china charger.

T3/t4 chinacharger journal bearing.
1.5mm oil restrictor and I did not have it re balanced. It has no shaft play whatsoever. I only paid $100 for it though and I never ran it with a filter so I was always sketchy about it. It actually isn't bad enough to where it loses oil, it just leaves residue on the compressor

I didnt think you were supposed to run a restricter with a journal bearing. Im confused now

Well, I thought that was the case.
chinahina chargers can't handle too much oil pressure or something like that so a restricter is needed, or the seals blow. I think
guys its different for every turbo. some have an internal restrictors from the factory like the t25 saab i used in my previous setup., some dont like the t40e chinacharger i have so i had to get one. you need a restrictor either way or you will f your turbo whether its a $1000 turbo or a $100 turbo.

Yup according to cxracing a bb turbo needs a 1mm restrictor and a journal needs a 1.5mm. I don't beleive when people say you don't need one on a journal bearing.
Anyways I think I know why I'm getting blow by.. I hit a dog recently and the impact pinched my oil return line and now it also forms a U shape. Pretty sure it's puddling in the middle and making the oil find other means of leaving the turbo

The same kit im install on my forged pro5 and 8psi boost, now i have turbosmart 14 psi Gate.
I install this kit with china V-band gate, now i buy Turbosmart good gate and install it.

In this kits BOV, Wastegate, fuel press reg, boostconroller is the china garbage. Turbo Journal Bearings good balanced early boost T04E gibrid china turbo.
