test drove a 25th Anv golf!!

OMG this car is sweet. it has a 1.8t engine in it. it has a nice little body kit on it with 19" rims!!!! (omg) (shocked) Inside is so sweet. nice looking interior! and when i drove it. wow. nice pull through out the power band. i ripped a kid in a golf vr6 while driving.

it's 24k but you get alot of your money. if i was looking for a car it would be a hard choice between this and a MSP.

Which golf are you talking about? the 20th anv. or the 337, b/c they both only have 18" wheels.

But if i were to choose a car over i would've went with the gti. My boss has a chipped 337 gti, and i can definately tell you that his car is sick. He's put a little over a grand into n he is runnin low 14s, high 13s.

And the good thing about that car is...with the chip from apr, your dealer cant trace it when they run a diagnose!!

the guy told me it had 19". i thought that was a little crazy but these wheels are huge. and it is a gti. brand new. s*** was fast as hell and nice car.

yea the wheels on the car are 18s, that the biggest vw makes. Unless the dealership put different ones on the car?

He prolly had a divter valve, same thing as bov, its just recirculates instead of venting. But yea those cars definately sound sick as hell.

no, the r32 is a 240hp all motor v6. (not the vr6 motor). These are 1.8t with 180hp.

The r32 is one badass car, is just not worth 30grand.

my friend has a 337... he bought it 35,000$ CND
when he said to me he bought a golf for 40G i just laugh at him...
but the 337 is a sweet car...its fast, he killed a prelude and a bimmer 325
he and a volvo 850R were pretty close...

i do respect now VW with the new jetta and those new golfs...

30k is a deal for the R32...
All wheel drive, all motor 240 v6 and a ton of other luxury not even thought about in the Evo or STi...a great car for the price if you ask me...

I just bought my first Mazda after 3 VW's (Jetta, Corrado, Jetta) and I would say that the cars were damn near bombproof. I am very surprised by your comment. Or at least that of your cousins and friend.

Unfortunately, most of the opinions you hear on subjects (any subject) on the internet seem to be the negative ones. We humans are much better at concentrating on the negative it seems.

I am just happy at this point that the clunk is gone in my car, at least for the time being

they had electrical problems with there car. and there car is stock. o2 going bad, MAF going bad the desgin of the spark pulg wires. stupid stuff like that.

about the spark plug wires. they made it so that you have to buy a tool from VW to remove them which cost $60 and that tool wasn't included with the car.

but the engines are "strong like bull" they will never let you down. it's just the other stuff around the motor is what has problems

I miss my A4 1.8T. Man, imagine spending less than $1500.00 in mods and gaining over 40 reliable, usable wheel horse power (chip, downpipe, intake, hi flow cat and cat back exhaust). Just the chip alone raised the boost enough for a gain of about 30+ crank hp. One of the best tuner friendly engines ever built.
