I have nology wires but I doubt they are going to help much, I will be putting on the MSD for sure if I have any problems, which I expect I will lol

Do you have the Thermal exhaust on already?
Because ask 65 racecoupe how bad it fit on my car...

and yes the AWR oil pan works with the sleeper downpipe which is awesome, its not bolted quite on as you can tell I was just testing it

Where are you going to tune and dyno this baby?
I hope to see this baby around sometimes,

yeah I have had the exhaust on for a while, no issues whatsoever

I will be taking it to tuning factory again, I will be having Dan tuning the AEM

once I get it back together lol

I never made much headway today, i mounted up the awr oil pan, and then I tapped and installed my EGR & water temp sensors

ported out my IM a bit

I need to pickup an AC unit for the garage its freaking hot lol

That is what I thought.
If you do not mind I would like to stop by there when you tune it.
Maybe I will dyno mine too.
I am just curious about that monster MAM MSP.
Dan is really nice and has great skills.

Thats good. How does it sound? I haven't heard it since we put the exhaust on becuz we'vebeen having some other problems.
I can't wait til you're up and running

with the mam midpipe the exhaust sounds nice, its not really loud but it gets a little annoying on the highway

Fade I will let you know when i am going, if you can dyno ur car at the same time that would be awesome because then I can see what gains i have. The last time I dyno'd there at 10 psi i got 254whp & 24x lbs torque

I will gladly dyno it but I am basically stock.
Just let me know.

thats even better, that way I know if the dyno is accurate or not :) from what I have seen and from talking with other people its supposed to be

the egt sensor

the water temp sensor

atticus here are some shots of the wastegate let me know if that works or not for ya its sorta hard to get good pics in there

so is it on there yet? if not, hurry up!(poke)
:p heh

lookin sharp man. cant wait to see what this thing will spit out. I'm guessing hot fire:D. This will be the year of the protege for sure. Might be a few over the 400whp mark. When you dynoing you think?

How'd you pick your spring rates? I think you'll find those coilovers to be WAYY too stiff.

I also disagree with the location of your EGT sensor, but that's always been a debate.

Other then that everything looks sweet. When it's up and running I'll have to come by an autox and see it in action.

Very sweet indeed....it looks awesome and definetely a lot invested...maybe one day I can do something this involved.

yeah they are stiff as hell.... they're actually unused "2nd hand" s*** that was originally meant to go in a race car... but with good dampening, your car won't be bouncing around like a $2 ***** though haha

Thanks
wow, that does look like a bear. what psi actuator? how bad was it rerouting coolant lines or anything else that needed to me modded? its kind of nice having like 3 other people building there motors just before me. lets me know any little "extra" things i should expect. Like I said, im just waiting on my PnP head from MAM. Block is here wrapped in plastic. Just need to pick a turbo, lol. But Im pretty sure I will me going with the microtech. I will be bugging you again when you put the Quaife in, lol. Mines been sitting here for 4 months.

Vin your sig is huge man, you might want to checkout the limit cause its way over it :p I "HOPE" that by the end of June I will be hitting the dyno. The problem is that I am working alot of hours and am having problems finding time to do all of this. I need to take a week off work I think to get this done.

Mallard, like TheMAN said I based this off a race car suspension, yes I know its going to be stupid stiff, if its to much I can just change the springs easily enough :) yeah I was going to put the EGT inside the manifold but I thought about it after I had it mounted up and said screw that I am not taking it back off lol.

atticus I think Beau said that where its placed now should be around 10psi iirc. The coolant lines were easy once I figured out the part numbers I completly changed all of them from the stock ones. The Quaife, oh yes have fun with that b****, getting the gear off the stock one and onto this was fun because you have to drill out the rivets, fun stuff, NOT lol. That was a good ~3 hrs of my life I could have back lol

18 volt cordless drill may not cut it. May have to invest in a good corded drill.
Did you hit it with 3 different drill bits? As for the coolant lines, what did you replace them with, oem?

I used a 18v drill, first I used a 1/8 bit and then went to a 3/8, they were brand new titanium bits and cut through it like butter :)

Do you have any pics of the coilovers? Did you get these from a race team or did you pick spring rates based on what a race team told you? What dampers are you using?

Your springs are A LOT stiffer then mine, and I hated driving my car on anything but a track. Although my dampers were non-adjustable and were also valved quite stiff.
