tekkies car build

lol thats what the gf keeps saying

soon it will be done, well this part :) I have some other things planned

I was looking at this same turbo, so I cant wait to see what you think. I got my block and now Im just waiting on my head. This bad boy caught my eye also:

I was lurking on the SRT boards and this seems to be their new weapon of choice. And then theres the Thumper. So many choices.....
Oh, where'd you get your gasket set from? I need a set.

yeah I was going to get that turbo but if I remember Beau said it wont fit, i dont recall why now that was a while ago

good question where I got the gasket set, I purchased that like 1 1/2 years ago I dont even remember :( I know I ordered them for the complete motor

Tekkie why did you decide to go with the 2871, isnt it going to be maxed out

at 400WHP(rather than less boost with a bigger turbocharger)?

the main reason is for autox, I wanted something with less lag, but its really not much better than the gt30 I dont think

I plan to max it out for sure, then if its not doing what I will be upgrading again ;)

Ok, you are definatly going to need the quaife and the "full face clutch"

whatever that is.:)

its the stage 3+ clutch, and yes the quaife will come in handy I am quite sure :)

the old

apparently this is bad? its metal shavings lol

I busted something, I have not found the problem yet, it does not matter to much, the rods - pistons seem to look ok from what I can see, I think its the main bearing

they make oil pan plugs with magnetic tips that collect the metal shavings and when u change ur oil u just whipe the shavings off and put it back in. atleast they make em for my car, dunno about mazdas...

yup had one of them, it was nice and full lol

atticus I will get you pics of the actuator I dont have any with a good angle right now

awesome rebuilt... daym if i lived closer i'd love to just come by and look at that thing, maybe even help haha not that i have any knowledge on this subject of fi what so ever

yes all the labor I am doing, well at least 90 + % of it

if I had to factor in the costs to have all of that installed, omg I dont even want to think about that lol
