Stock coils? Good luck with spark on that thing at 30psi.

I honestly don't think the LSD will hold at that level either, even with both sides welded like that... better be ready for the quaffe, I see one in your future, haha.

It is a common misconception on these forums that the coils are no good. Its not true. We're running 27psi on our track car with no blowout at all.

Its all about the TUNE. With a bad EMS, yes, the coils are junk. But with a bad EMS, the injectors are junk. Without a good EMS, the engine will be junk.

Its not about the parts- its about the ability to amplify (if necessary) the stock ignition.

I bumped my dwell time up to 6.0ms and have no problems upwards of 24psi on the stock coils. Upgraded wires and springs though.

A threaded hole won't do s***! Its too thin! I drilled mine out, then bolted on an aluminum block about 3/4" thick, with a tapped hole for my return line so it had enough threads to grab onto. The thickness of that pan won't cut it, and you're foolish for thinking it wouldn't leak.

If not the Cometic cork gasket, then which one? Did you jsut make your own? It's designed for RTV, not a gasket so that's why yours leaked. I think I'd know a tad more about building the FS than you...

you must not be reading what you are replying to because i stated very clearly what I have done. the pan came with a threaded hole. i never said it was the thickness of the pan. they welded a nut to the pan. that is not where it leaked from. it leaked between the windage tray and the pan. one side of the pan had about 3/8" to 1/2" gap when bolted on. no gasket out there (especially rtv) would cure this. i had to straighten the pan the best i could before installing it and then make up for the difference with cork gasket. i also used sealant just to be sure, but it still leaked through some bad welds. the pan comes welded pretty good, but there were some spots on there that was missed. but there is no reason to start saying what you know more than me about. i havent dedicated my life to fs engines, i chose to venture out a little and broaden my knowledge with other things as well. i am one of the few people that can do a car from the ground up with out having to take it to 15 different places for their specialty. besides that i build some of the most unique recreational toys out there. so for you to start spouting off only makes people not want to ask you for advice.

Your car looks great men, lots of s*** done to it. well i can e-mail you my haltech e6x map, but remember i have 1000cc injectors i dont know if that is going to be good for your injectors size. as soon as i get my car ill e-mail them to ya. PM me your info.. one thing i dont understand is why if you are using a Haltech E6X which control Air/Fuel and Timing you are still using a MAF sensor and o2 sensors, my car doesnt used those parts anymore, i dont use MAF or o2 Sensors anymore. i love the Haltech E6X men, is just the best EMS out there for my opinion

i have gone through soooo many coils, i could've bought another Mazda!!! so are you saying that my tune is to blame? when i get this thing dynoed, what on the tune is changed to make them not fizzle? how come hi boost doesnt set the base maps to help? sorry for my ignorance here, but i am definitelty learning a lot. thanks to all the guys giving input here. i am definitely not the only one reading this thanking you for your expertise (kissass)

Are your coils powered with key in the on position full time ?

you got any photos of under your hood?

Congrats bro! Nicely done. Welcome to the 400+whp club! ;-)

thanx a ton for your words men. especially from a heavy ass moded mazda like yours.. what exactly you have done to it if you dont mind? 569 whp aint a joke, so drop down your list, im interested to see what i have missed even though we have different engines

Yeah, just click on my cardomain page link on my sig, the list is all there.

when you say 411WHP @ 16psi & 569WHP @ 29psi , 411 whp on pump gas and 569 on race gas at 29 psi, or whats your formula ? cause right now i have around 425+whp on pump gas if not mistaken at 17 psi i believe manuel told my dad, and will be like yours at 30 psi with race gas and methanol injection

Those are dyno proven numbers i believe ...
