Sweek Sweek

Hey People looking for some answers since its bugging the hell out of me. My Tires (well i think its my tires). They sweek like im burning rubber. It happens here and there when i hit the gas. some times if i hit the gas and slow down then hit the gas again hard. I have an Auto. Some of my friends say that its that the tire is low on air. But i don't know???
Please HELP!!!

Is it only occurring when you are going in a straight line or when you are turning as well? And it's not when you are at speed...only when you are either slowing down or speeding up...you are sure it's not anything minor like brake squeal?

Oh and as far as your tire pressure...you should definitely be making sure that is accurate probably around once a week to ensure proper tire wear so at the very least go check and if it's not up to snuff, get those tires inflated now.

LOL Well I just assumed he meant squeaking of some sort ya...but maybe not?

O Sorry bout that (and it's Squeak). Anyway it does it some times when I turn.

I've got the same problem. It sounds like a seal, sometimes it does it 2 or 3 times at a time. My dealer said it's my transmission, but i think it's the tires

Same squeaking - transmission

Hi guys,


I have the same problem (P5 2002, auto) - i can hear a squeak when the transmission is either shifting into the second gear, or from second (so from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd).

I took the car to the dealer and they told me that this is brake pad problem ( - of course it's not.

Neither (at least in my case) it is related to the tires. (Similar sound though)

If the weather is cold, it doesn't squeak all that often. If its warm - squeaks all the time..

It actually gets worse - at the beginning it was happening rarely, now - i have it all the time.

Anyone solved the problem?? I don't know how to convince the dealer
