may I remind most of you people that he live in the netherlands, also his 323 (p5) has the 1.5 liter
It was one of the available motors...

True, but he was also asking about the Protege 5 specifically, which only comes with the 2.0-liter.

Is it worth it to be just a smidge faster once in a blue mooon??
Yes, of course.

For most it is enough just so they can say "my car does the quarter in... or my goes 0-60 in this..." Or to brag about the $$ you spent on this or that..... but really.... will you use that power when your not showing off???
Yep. I do.

Many say how slow their P5 is.... but when you look at the stats for all cars made in the last couple years the P5 is in the top 20 percent as far a fast is concerned.... So if 80 percent of the vehicles made in the last 2 years are slower that yours.... is yours really slow??? No.. It may not be the fastest.. but it is not slow by any means. You get what you pay for... And none of us have paid for a Viper have we??

Later.....
What stats I've you been looking at. I would like to see how the P5 ranks 20% among all cars made within the past 2 years. (uhm)

People do what they want with their money. You can't control their actions. It's a waste of time to try and make people see your views in a hobby such as cars.

His 323 has the 1.5
his P5 (323) is not american
in different countrys you could get it with the smaller engines
only in America did the P5 have only the 2.0

Looks like a centrifugal blower to me (Vortech for ex.). Unfortunately, those aren't the best for a four cylinder application. A Roots type blower (Jackson Racing) normally is a lot better..

I saw this thread and got hopeful, but if it's going to be centrifugal I'll probably stick with HiBoost.

Aww, well, he should have said that his car was a 1.5 liter version. Eveyone one else on here for the past part is in the US, with their 2.0-liter variety.

I know in different countries there were different motor options available.

I know there is a company here in Kansas, not sure how this will fit on our cars but I will find out.

EDIT:

Well they are going to be in the 3K range and not specifically made for our car, the blower would be the right size, but you would have to adapt the plate to fit. And of course we would need the EMS for sure.
