Hey guys my brake pads are pretty worn out and im gonna have to change them pretty soon. Im just wondering if you guys recomend a certain pad i should use. I was thinking about using the EBC green stuff pads. what do you guys think

Cool thanks for the info. I need to change out my pads soon and i think im going to get the Cross drilled and slotted rotors aswell but i wanted to get a pad that doesnt dust so much

are the hawk hps pads noisy? my brakes are startin to make the ungodly change me now noise, and i was thinkin bout just goin back to stock. i dont auto x my car, if anythin ill take her to the strip maybe twice a year or so. so its my dd. i dont want anythin noisy. and since the stock pads have lasted me nearly 40k miles and they have great stopping power in my opinion, i think i want to stick with them. the only thing is the brake dust. so how loud are the hawk hps compared to stock?

also, ive read mixed reviews on drilled/slotted rotors. my rotors are feeling pretty warped and again i was thinkin of stickin with stock. i dont want the drilled rotors as ive read they will eat my pads alive. will the slotted rotors also do this? is there that much of a difference between the slotted and the stock rotors? thanks in advance!

ok nevermind the question bout the pads, im just gonna stick with the stock ones. ive read wayyy too many mixed reviews bout any of the aftermarket ones, and this way i dont get any surprises from the stockers.

however, i still dont know if i want the slotted rotors or not, so any input would be awesome

I just bought some hawk HPS's. When I get a chance, maybe this weekend, I'll put them in. I'm also going to do a how-to with replacing pads/rotors.
The stock pads don't seem too bad, but when I took my car to the track, they did fade a little.

so about that how-to....

I'm just building anticipation.
Actually I'm awaiting my rotors to come in. They should be here tomorrow, wait it's 1:45 so today, and since I don't have to work, new stuff is going on. The how-to will cover pads/rotors, ss lines install, bleeding the brakes, and painting the calipers. It might take me a day or two to finish the how-to, but if everything goes swimmingly I might have it up tomorrow night. Wish me luck.

I've used Hawk HPS's on all my cars for the last 5 years. I like them, on some applications they sqeek a tiny bit under low speed/low pedal pressure situations, but thats about it. I also installed EBC greens on my father in law's TSX and he says he likes them too. I think either of those are a good choice for a street upgrade.

Finally! Today seemed soooo long, I just got my rotors in. Gonna start right meow, lots of pics to take. The package weighs about 70lbs, and I bow to the UPS lords for not messing up with the shipping. (bow)

I've had my pads for quite awhile now and finally got my rear rotors yesterday right now im just waiting for my front rotors. Hopefully you can have a how to done up by the time i go to do my brakkes so i know what im doing.

writing up the how-to, hopefully done tomorrow.

Just did mine yesterday with the help of Matt's how-to (thanks!), and here's my finished product:

I went with HPS for front and rear and no noise after the initial bedding.

I have an extra set of fronts for sale for almost half of the cost from online retailers.

I picked up the sears impact driver, and just used the attachment with the air impact and the screws came off easily. I did put them back on, but only hand tight with some anti-seize.
