so i was driving home from a bar/club witgh my friends and there were peopel on the street so i go around them and when i shifted my bpv sounded. cops stoped me and asked me what was that and i was liek what was what. the cop took my license and said hold on i got a couple tickets for you. He gave me a ticket for unsafe start up cause he said i was peelin my tires and he gave me a failure to keep right ticket, and i told i was avoidin the pedestirain because they were walking on the street what am i sposed to do, he replies wait. THis pisses me off ****** Nassau county cops have nothing better to do, the cops let other people go that did the same thing as me to avoid the people.aaaaargh

consider that harrassment from the officer. Your BPV does simulate a tire squealing sound, so it's easy for a mentally challenged officer of the law to get confused - you understand this and forgive him in front of the judge.
Your excuse for the pedestrian is valid, as you are legally required to get out of the lane where there's an obstacle.

first off, stop bashing cops in the forums. second, pedestrians always have the right of way...wether they are in a crosswalk or not, they always have the right of way. third, pay the tickets and be thankful.

you drive a bright yellow car, and you brought this attention to yourself. cops will notice you when you are driving down the street at high speeds and blow by pedestrians.

i can see you have modified your exterior a bit, so i would bet your exhaust is modified as well, probably drawing more attention to yourself. next time drive slower around pedestrians and stop trying to show off in front of your friends.

What an idiot. Contest it. From my experience it's all dependent on how they are feeling. Since my last run in with a cop was filled with blatant lies from his side which I could not contest in court, I have a very bad taste in my mouth for police officers right now.

i was typing not speaking, second they where not using the sidewalk they were walking beside it, my car is yellow so what. i wasn't driving at high speed if i did im sure i would fo got a ticket for that. my car makes a sound when i shift sue me and no my exhaust is not modified at all thank you for asuuming though. th ecop gave me a ticket for unsafe startup how did i start up my car if i was already driving?
