Stolen badge!

Hi,

I keep meaning to post about this...
About three weeks after I got my P5, some bastard stole my M from the front grill. It looks all ghetto with two little holes where the tabs for the M used to go.

I am to cheap to buy a new one (as I'd rather spend money on mods) and Ifear someone will just steal it again.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Does anyone have any ideas for what I could do (alternatives to buying a new badge) that might make my car a little different (as if I planned ot rmeove the badge).

Interestingly, since this happened to me, I have seen two other P5s in town that had the same thing happen. At least they can;t blame me!

you could always get the autoexe or autoexe replica grill..

they're only $13 from the dealer...i replaced mine in the front before getting a new replica grill...

Only $13? I assumed it would be some rip off like $30 or more... I guess I should find out the cost first before doing anything drastic.

My buddy's Honda badge was $45CAN ($30US)!

that sucks to hear dude, well at least it doesnt cost that much to replace - chris

Well, canadian tire sells GT-R emblems. Maybe you might want to consider that? I guess it adds around 20 whp. :D

haha if he did that, i would request that he took off all references to mazda on the vehicle because thats just embarrassing

Try checking the auto wreckers in your area. You could buy an emblem for a very cheap price.

Yeah, if you pull it off a car yourself you can get the five-finger-discount.

in my area the hondas and acura's are bare of badges. some kids running around the apartment parking lot at night i bet.

when and if you get a new badge...use epoxy glue to fasten it into place. the stuff i got hold 1000 pounds per square inch. they won't be able to get it off with their screwdriver.

When I drove a Honda Civic as a company car ( not mine!) the front H badge was stolen twice. Cost $20.00 CAD from the dealership. I'm just waiting for the M badge to be stolen. But make sure you glue it on tight if you replace it.

Taking the badge is not a big problem, I am afraid they might scarch the paint or make a dent or sth.

Why in god's name would someone steel a mazda badge?? WHY?
Some are not as blessed as we to have Mazdas to cruise in...

And to keep it on-topic:
Shave off ALL the badges, front and rear! :p
