Stereo Installation?

Yes i heard but i dont want anything cheap like most people said the other kits are.
They are not that cheap. They are actualy a decent kit. Keep in mind the source of the complaint. Half the time the people that say the plastic kits are cheap are the same ones to stick fake carbon fiber stickers all over there car so it looks FASTAR.

The kits are fine and look decent. They don't look like $100 but then again the factory Mazda kit is just a pocket and a support bar. Not really worht a $100 in my book.

I had a Metra pocket and it just broke. Not sure if it happened when I was rear ended or if it broke on its own, but I decided to try the Scosche kit this time around. I liked that it snapped in to factory opening and it was all one piece, hoping it was sturdier than the Metra.

Sure enough it was. I added a piece of 3/8" weather stripping to the back of the pocket (on the two raised support pieces) so that my Alpine CDA-9835 rests on that instead. A handy tip I found at these forums. Made it alot firmer and the deck is horizontal to the pocket, not slanting down to rest on the supports. As a result it is a firm fit with no rattling whatsoever. I am very pleased with the Scosche. The pocket is a bit smaller than the Metra, but who really cares... I don't use CDs since I have the iPod hooked up to the deck.

The Scosche looks and fits better than the Metra. I would recommend it any day, for an economical, non-custom install of an after market deck. I picked it up at Best Buy for $25+tax CDN.

I used the sosche kit it worked great I put a peice of rubber between the radio and pocket and the back of the radio still fit in the factory support hole.
