sport vs GT

Ok so found one on cars.com from a dealer, its a 07 ms3 GT with 5800 for 19995 but he said if i came in and test drove it i can get it for 19000. does this sound like a good deal? I noticed it has the side molding off and the speed emblem gone dont know if i can get it lower bc of that, (even though i do like it like that)

you should post a link!

Hmm the carfax said it has 7 records, I dont know what that means.

VIN JM1BK34M471762009
Year/Make/Model: 2007 MAZDA SPEED 3
Body Style: HATCHBACK 4 DR
Search Results: 7 records found in our database

IMPORTANT! The 7 records on this 2007 MAZDA SPEED 3 may confirm a clean title history or uncover potential problems. Find out by ordering the CARFAX Vehicle History Report.

Better check that out. And as others said that car might had beaten to death or something.

thats not a GT its a sport

so i was right when i thought they messed up, i thought it was a sport

From the looks of the tail lights it is a sport edition. And from the left side of the dashboard, I dont see the HID projection control. Which both of those should exist on GT models.

lol so i went to go see the so called GT which was a sport and when i talked to him was like is there any engine mods he was like no. Get there with friend and he notices right off the back exhaust then i am like show me the engine and theres intake and intercooler tube. So we talked numbers and got him down from 20k to 17500 for sport with 6k, but was worry about the warranty. He tells me that a mazda dealership did installed the parts and the my warranty was 100% intact. So 2 hours later doing paperwork, me and my friend head over to the mazda dealership down the road and they were like u touch that car the warranty is dead. So the idiots at BS me so we went back and was like yea give me back my deposit and left.

Get home he calls me still saying he called the owner and mazda and was saying it was intact the warranty. Even though i was like the manger at mazda as like no. So he is getting back to me on monday about it and going to be like i want it for 17000 since they are really wanna sell since he called me about it.

Glad I got my GT:
HID
Rain Sensing Wipers
Leather
Bose System (not all that really)
LED Tail Lights

I was thinking the same thing the OP stated... will I regret it later or not? Besides, at the time, I figured, a limited production car?!(yeah right lol) I'm going all the way mang... I left out the Navi since I have a TOM TOM which is far more superior than the one offered, and its portable.

Go with the GT, you'll be happy in the long run...
The EXACT same reasons I got the GT, and I have a Garmin.

Call me spoiled, but HID alone was enough to choose my GT over sport.

To me it's an important safety feature, and it's baffling to me why some manufacturers don't even offer it as an option. Honda, for instance, has offered HID only for the S2000 for years. Please correct me if they changed that for the 09 model year.

Some criticize HIDs for blinding other drivers; however, that is certainly not the case for OEM projector HIDs with sharp cut-off lines. (and with manual/ auto leveling) HIDs are dangerous only when people retrofit their halogen light housings with HID bulbs which produce dangerous glare in all directions. There is a good reason why that is illegal. (Sorry for ranting) ^_^;;

BTW, rain-sensing wipers were one of those things I never knew I needed until my car came with them. It's very convenient!

The EXACT same reasons I got the GT, and I have a Garmin.

The dealership where I bought my GT said that they rarely, if ever, get GT cars with the NAV system. But I'm looking into getting a portable one, was thinking of a TOMTOM. How do you like the Garmin?

I love it and don't understand how I didn't buy it sooner. I bought the Nuvi 260W for around $380. I didn't what to drop the cash for one, but I've wanted a GPS for a while now. So since I had an extra $400 and didn't know what to spend it on, it bought it.

I spoil myself and always want to get the best of everything. I intitally wanted the $800 StreetPilot 7200 because it's their flagship model and what most people would consider Garmin's best. But it has so many features, I wouldn't even use them all. It would just become a big hitech toy for me, lol. So I looked at my budget and only the features I would use and chose the nuvi 260W. There's a 260 and 260W, the W stands for widescreen.

That's why I got the GT MS3 and 5, I wanted the best model. I just couldn't see myself paying an extra $1700 a piece for nav in both cars when I can get a Garmin. It's so slim and lite, it fits right in my pocket. It had preloaded 2008 maps and I connected it to my computer when I got home and downloaded the new 2009 maps for free. This thing is awesome and I saved myself $3400.

Sorry for the rant.

How do you download the '09 maps for free? Garmin charges ~$60 for the updated maps for my nuvi 360.

When I registered it, I was able to download it for free after that. I'll have to purchase all other updates, 2010 and later. Did you register yours when you bought it?

Get a regular 3 loaded with sunroof. It will be more comfortable and you can get an automatic so you don't have to remember to change gears.(poke)

Speaking of sunroof.... why the deuce can't you get one on a speed3? They afraid it's so fast the roof will rip off? :P
