Rear vent only blowing hot air on right side (2019 CX-9 GT)

My 2019 CX-9 GT recently started blowing warm air only out of the right rear vent for the rear passengers. The left vent blows cold air. I suspect it's the blend door actuator malfunctioning, however if I buy it new, the part is between 300 and 400 dollars, plus labor. I've found it used for about 50 bucks and was wondering if this is the right part (or is it for the front dash) and what would it involve to replace it myself. Thanks in advancr. I posted a picture of the part, if anyone knows this is it?

I can't see any match up with mazda numbers. Can you give them a call? On a side note, have you popped the panel off and watched the actuator to see what it's doing. If it's working but not right, it may have slipped it's dripper and you can set things back in place.

The panel being the digital panel or where the vents are below?

I assumed (yes I know) that the car has a separate control panel for the rear and therefore a separate blend door/blower assembly. That will probably be behind the side panel behind the right rear door. I reserve the right to be wrong.

Many domestic trucks have blend door issues. For the most part the blend door breaks. Actuators are bullet proof.

Can you hear the actuator moving when switching settings?

Blend doors break so often in domestic trucks there are after market companies who make steel or aluminum blend doors.

So the actuator and blend door are located inside the center console, behind the control panel and vents in the 2nd row? I just want to make sure I'm looking in the right place before I start removing stuff.... Thanks!

Thank you all very much for this valuable info. I really appreciate your help with this. I really didn't want to pay the dealer an arm and a leg to do this!

That one is specific to mazda but all of them with that part number should work. I wouldn't replace the entire assembly if you can help it. Can you switch the actuators and see if it make a difference?

Can you find a used one put of a wrecked?

Try Car-parts.com they had a page of CX9s. If one is near you, call them and ask.

Cool, thanks for the website. It's weird, it seemed ok today, so not sure if it's an intermittent issue. I need to find a guide on how to pull apart the center console!
