sport vs GT

I have an '08.5 GT with satnav package, never looked back. Don't regret it at all, and with the amount I use the GPS, well worth it to me.

I'm completely happy with my Sport...never looked back and never regretted not getting the GT.

Bose stereo has issues, NAV sucks, HID rip off, and all the other little things are meh...

For the budget conscious; Sport. If you got the money; GT.

At the end, you'll be happy with either...

250 for my TOM TOM... only stuck to my windshield when I absolutely need it.. 1250 on mods... (2thumbs) (cheers)

although it'd have been nice to get the built in navi, it just seemed out dated for such a new car...yadamean? (thought)(eekdance)

Yeah I'll save 1,250 and stick a portable NAV unit on my windshield that works better.

Yes I believe so. The only difference from the old to the new ones is that i think the old ones has more gray color all around. While the news one are all in black. I might be wrong.

Ohh ok was just wondering bc found a used one at a dealer like like 5800 miles and it says its a GT but the pic of the seats its grayish and doesnt look like the half leather ones I sat in, in the 09's and thought he was saying a sport was a GT

personally i have a GT

but i was originally looking at a sport.

i'm happy i have the GT now but i'm sure i would have been happy either way. just the little things make it worth it... automatic headlights, windshield wipers (seriously, who ever thought that those would be something that actually comes in handy?)... the tail lights look effing sweet and i'm happy with my bose. i couldnt have cared less about the HIDs since i ended up changing them anyway.

I am on the same page as most of the GT owners. It was only 2000 more for the GT, and it would cost just as much, if not more to add the features I got with the GT.
But the engine is the same in both cars, so the drivability would still have the same fun factor.

$2000 will buy you a boat load of performace upgrades. The leather and lights only look pretty.

Got the Sport, spent the extra money for GT on MSCAI, MSCBE instead, get 32MPG Hwy and had $500 left over and run Mid 13's, I work out of the back (small painting co.) and my wife doesn't even imagine how much fun I have driving now!

i would disagree on the lights...three of my four cars have HIDS...and every car i buy from now on will have HIDs...they're just way brighter and where i live some roads are pitch black.

i could care less about rain sensing wipers, bose, sat nav (my garmin has bluetooth, xm, traffic, and i just move it from car to car). the alcantara is nice, but not necessary.

i went in thinking i was going to get the sport, but quickly changed my mind and went w/the gt..and am really glad i did.

they all are leather trimmed, but the old ones have grey fabric inserts 08.5 got black alcantra a very nice, but poor wearing material. at 40,000 miles it will look like s***

Sure you could spend the extra $2000 on performance mods, but remember that not everyone buys the car to race it.
I think when you spending thousands on a car you need to look for certain luxuries. For me the sport lacked some of the luxuries that I wanted (eather being the most important). It is nice to not have to remember to turn the lights on and off, or have to worry about turning on the wipers. The tails look good, and overall I do not regret spending the little extra cash on these luxuries.
In regards to the alcantra, hopefully I will be out of this car come 40,000 miles.

Get a regular 3 loaded with sunroof. It will be more comfortable and you can get an automatic so you don't have to remember to change gears.(poke)

Ok so found one on cars.com from a dealer, its a 07 ms3 GT with 5800 for 19995 but he said if i came in and test drove it i can get it for 19000. does this sound like a good deal? I noticed it has the side molding off and the speed emblem gone dont know if i can get it lower bc of that, (even though i do like it like that)
