I am in the market for a short shifter and there is a couple brands out there for the MSP..just wondering if anyone had a short shifter on their msp and if so what they thought of it, price paid..etc etc

thanks

i have used the TWM and i like it, i have heard good things about the kartboy as well

My wife has a Kartboy in her P5 and I like it. I put the bushings in as well.. I really like the crisp shifting.. will be putting a KB shifter & bushing on my car soon.

You'd better search some old threads too. I was looking at getting a short shifter too, but some people said it felt the same, it didn't work, blah blah. (these comments were from some MSP owners)

I decided on just the bushings for now.

On an MSP, you won't feel a whole lot of difference in the throw... its the bushings that make it better... but, with a new shifter, the throw is a little shorter..

I've installed the TWM short shifter with the Kartboy bushings (I also have synchromesh gear oil) and I love it!! I cannot imagine going back.... All together I've paid around $ 275 CAD (just over 200 USD) including install and I must say it's well worth it

as u can see in my sig. i have everything available to make the shifts better....
i bought a B&M shifter also from protegegarage.com im gonna swap it with my kartboy shortshifter after i get my car back from the body shop...
i heard B&M is the shortest.. and i like the metal housing it comes with

There's a thread somewhere with comparison pictures of the different short-shifters and by the look of them, the B&M has le longest throw!
As for the TWM, it has the same throw as the Kartboy (you can really feel the diff.) but the nice touch is that you dont't need the bronzoil bushing because it has it's own sealed ball-bearing bushing! It's totally maintenance-free...
