The trick is to find one of those garages that lets you work on your own car for ~$10 and hour.

And to you complaining about it being cold. Move. We're in the middle of Feb. and it's supposed to get 80 today and be sunny all day. Just thought I'd share that with the guys that are snowed in

Yeah, I love my TWM. At first, i really really disliked how hard it was to go into gear, but, as stated, it does wear it some, or I wore in some. I dont know. But, did you also install the shift bushing? Or, just the short shifter?
And, I like the black knob. Makes me wish I'da gotten black over the satin.

where is a good place to get a short shifter? and what exactly do you have to have to install it? also, will a regular protege short shifter work for the p5?
the site is actually twmperformance.com (sorry to correct)Not sure about the protege shifter working on the p5... probably if its a 2.0L with the same transmission....
TWM.com has shortshifters. to install you need a few tools.
c-clip pliers to remove the shifter
14mm socket to remove the heat shield
10mm socket to remove the shifter
phillips screw driver to take out the center console
a floor jack
etc... ususally the kit comes with some instructions and tells you exactly what you need. Its a fairly easy install...
well actually depends which SS kit you get will determine what else tools you need.
