2007 MZ3 steering wheel shakes while braking. The brake pedal does not pulse, rotors are fine, did it before and after a 4 wheel rebalance. FYI wheels are 18x 7.5 CX-7 wheels with 225-40/18's

My 08 mz3i does the same, I have had people tell me it's the rotors.. But if you say yours are fine then I don't know

I did the advanced timing mod on my 08 Mz3 GX. After a couple of months I noticed 2 things. The ride was not quite as smooth and that my steering wheel shook/vibrated during hard braking. I took my mazda into the dealer to get a oil change (free) and asked them about the steering. They said it is most likely my rotors but to wait 20,000 until it is bad and replace both Rotors and Pads.

But I decided to remove the advanced timing just to see if the ride would get smoother, and now my braking is fine. No shaking of steering wheel.

Glad I didnt get new rotors and pads!

But I miss the extra horse power and want to find a solution.

Would upgraded engine mounts do the trick?

Thoughts anyone?

sorry, left out, I also had my wheels balanced while the MOD was in play.
Didn't seem to make a difference either way.

Sounds like rotors brakes are not making a flat firm contact with the rotor surface . get them turned/ brakes aswell and it will fix the issue 90% of the time
