This product is made from high impact resistant film with an adhesive backing. The Light protection is so transparent you wont even know something is there. It will not alter the appearance of the lens and becomes invisible from just a few feet away. Each piece is pre-cut perfectly by computerized equipment to fit the many different shapes of lenses for foreign/domestic headlights and other lenses. We consider this product a self-installation product in most cases. RockBlocker Light Protection stops damage to your lights. Add color to your vehicle to get style and protection at the same time.

Product comes in your choice of Blue, Yellow, Clear and smoked 20%. You can mix and match them as you wish.

A great way to protect your vehicle from pitting and/or breaking of the lights.
We are offering an intro price of 20% off and FREE Shipping to the lower 48 States at this time

To Order

We are working on getting some photos up for you folks to look at. In the meantime please feel free to check out our Gallery in the Sig below.

Please show pictures of the various covers both fog and main lights.

Are they removable or permanent?

How much do the ones with color alter or limit the amount of light projected?

Thanks,
Darryl

Do you have these for NewBeetle Fog lights as well? Just had to replace one due to rock damage... Ouch!(pissed)

Please click our gallery in the sig for photos thats why is there:)

You can remove but not reuse

Smoked will block out 17% light

Yellow changes the light to yellow some think they stay the same some dont. hard to say since it is yellow

Blue will improve your optics of the light and make it cleaner

Yes we have them for bugs too. Those fogs arent cheap

Please read our site for tips, but basic one is peel and stick. Not much to fogs.

Help me understand how thin film can keep it from breaking?

I imagine clear does nothing much for looks. Smoke reduces light so that's out of the question for me. On the fog lights I imagine it doesn't matter much and fog lights are sometimes yellow. The fog lights don't seem to do much anyway. I have a get out of jail free card so tickets are not usually an issue, but I don't need the hassle of getting pulled over with blue lights. Yellow is probably a safe bet.

I see i have some catching up to do with lots of questions so lets start

The film is 20 mil thick and made with a very strong absorbent plastic film that takes impacts like you wouldnt believe. It has a rubbery bouncy feel to it versus glass or polycarbonate plastic that is hard and has no give.

Depends on how you want to look at it. Yes in all 50 states clear is the onloy legal option for you. Depending on how you read and understand the laws in your state there is a lot of gray area. Such as in AZ, you cannot have blue or red flashing lights on the front of your vehicle. Well then what does that mean for yellow, smoked or blue.

You see while your car is parked during the daylight hours or driving the film might be colored such as in blue. But at night oncoming traffic cannot see that your lights are blue, all they see is white. The blue film gives off the look between standard halogen lights to HID's bulbs. This is not enough to get you pulled over and ticketed.

Smoked film while we do not recommend for the front of the vehicle will cause a 17% light loss, but many use it for tail light kits. Here in AZ, you must be able see brakes from 500ft and with the light smoked that is not a problem. You are able to see some of the red during day stil and the brake lights shine right through it no problem.

Yellow is yellow, but again if you are driving the oncoming traffic is unable to tell your fogs are yellow until they pass you. Again you are not causing a disruption to the oncoming traffic and dont see how it cant be condoned as legal. Look at the 2000 - 2004 Lexus IS300 and the old GS300 models they had yellow bulbs that you could see from miles away.

I am not saying that you will never get pulled over and never ticketed for having the colored film on your vehicle. I will say the chances are unlikely unless you do something stupid like race, drive erractic, things like that.

I personally drive by the police station everyday with blue head, and turns, smoked tails and a blue 3rd brake light with no issues ever. usually I get thumbs up from them or I work on their personal cars.

Each person has the right to purchase or not purchase the products. If you worry about getting pulled over I would recommend the clear.

I just left the Mazda dealer and inquired as to the cost of ONE headlight for the CX-7. Standard Headlight is $640.00 and HID version is $850.00 not installed. If you do the math you will see for $50.00 you get all four lights protected is rather very inexpensive. Even if the light doesnt break polycarbonate plastics have one major downside and that is they pit real easily which over time will diminish your visibility of light. We all want to see well right. Hopefully this helps everyone out, if not let me know be glad to answer anymore questions.

We are going to be getting a full gallery on the CX-7 fogs here this week when it quits raining. Yeah it rained in AZ. :)

Thanks... very informative. I'm thinking Yellow or Blue... just trying to sort in my head which color would look better on Pearl White.

One more question... Is the reason people go smoke on the rear because the other colors change the hue of the tailight or just because smoke looks better?

For fogs I would recommend the yellow on 99% of all cars. It sets the car off and gives you a more functional light at night. ie fog things like that.

As for the headlights I always recommend the blue film, Best looking and most practical for all around driving. Some people say it sharpens the optics of the light at night. I dont weigh in on that.

As for the tails, yes most people go with the smoked look rather than any other color. I guess most people like that sleathy sleek look. I have on occasion used the blue film for tails that are clear like on the CX-7. Gives it a nice blue hue to it, but when breaking its all red.
