Replacement LED for rear signal lights

this is an interesting discussion, that made me rethink what i've done. here's my experience:

i recently (about 2 months ago) replaced some bulbs around my car with led bulbs, including the tail lights. i used these - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-RE...goryZ33713QQihZ019QQitemZ8071214462QQtcZphoto
then, shortly thereafter, i did the fog light mod from the "how to" section. since then, my cruise control hasn't worked exactly as you would expect. worked fine, as long as the lights were off. but as asoon as i even turned on the running lights, the cruise control would kick off, the same as if you hit the cancel button. i was like - WTF! i was ready to call the dealer and schedule a diagnostic session, when i came across this thread.

so, today at lunch, i rip into my tail lights, and replace them with the original bulbs. and guess what? my cruise control now works as it is supposed to. no lights, works great. turn on the lights, still works!

after this little experiment, i'm convinced the cruise control is tied into the circuitry for the running lights / brake lights some how. whats puzzleing, is that i couldn't find anything in the wiring diagrams i have to suggest as much. must be some hocus-pocus in the cruise module box.

Hey guys,

if you swap out the tails for LEDs you ned to put load equalizers on the wires. You also need another load equalizer
on the signals, if you put LEDs in, or else they blink really really fast.

I wonder in Load Resistors would aleviate the fear of this problem. In my 2000 Dakota, I did an LED swap, and got hyperflashing turnsignals. Then I installed the load resistors inline with the bulbs and they worked just fine. Don't know if it'll happen on our cars, but usually hyperflashing occurs when the car senses that a bulb is out.

As for LEDs themselves : Http://www.superbrightleds.com is the place to go. Rather good prices, and they sell the load resistors too!

Definetly need load EQs for signals, for 'hyper flashing' and another on on the brkae wire WILL fix the cruise issue. Got the set-up in my car.
