recommendation on Turbo Timers

Basically boils down to which one you like comsmetic-wise. They all do the same basic things but have a few differences. For me, I don't use any of those other features and use the timer soley for it's purpose.. a timer.

well, actually, you will still have to wait, because you cannot arm the alarm until the car shuts off...

get a viper 550 esp. You can leave the car running, and arm the alarm. The engine will shut off at whatever you have it set to.

i just installed a blitz dtt on my car a week or so ago...nice unit .....easy to install....and i got a low profile boost gauge to boot :) anyway each timer has extra features...look around and get what u like, all work good as timers, some have better features then others....

i have my timer on auto so it adjusts compared to how much i boost the car and for how long......uslaly i just take my time gettin out of the car and/or i leave the radio on so as im walkin away i can hear it turn off and i just push the alarm :)

I bought my timer cus i wanted a digital boost gauge that was low profile.....but the timer is an added bonus

I have a HKS type O and I like the way it reads the way I am driving and adjusts the time. Look around and see how much you want to spend. I found mine for $90.00.

Thanks for the info. I plan on leaving mine stock for now. I did read about the Bliz DTT. I liked the features etc and it being digital. Did you purchase a harness or wired directly?

wired it in with crimp connector things....some one has a how to website but i have it saved at home (suppost to be work :) anyway its so easy to install....took me the better half of an hour....including running to radio shack for the connectors... i put the "brain" under the dash by the center consel and ran the display up thru the ashtray and i have it wedged between the ashtry and consel.....i didnt wanna tape it down or whatever so i can just hide it behind the ashtray when i go in for warrenty work :) ill have pics tonite if u wanna see......

np im goin after work to pick up a digi cam then ill head home and post them up......this was my first turbo timer install...trust me when i say its sooooooo easy......if no one posts the website i was tlakin about ill post it along with the pics when i get home...i followed his insructions and it was a snap.

I've kind of changed my mind about TT's (still would like one though). But all you have to do is stay out of boost for a minute or so before you get to your destination. I know most places I go there is some sort of a "slower" drive before I get to where I'm going. That should be sufficient to cool the turbo. If not, then just wait that one time out of a few.

very true...i ultimalte bought my blitz dtt for the sole fact of having the boost gauge.....only other digitail gauges were alot more so i figured what the hell ?!?! the time is just a bonus that is cool to watch :) plus the blitz has a warning fuction for the gauge which is also a plus i enjoy...ill have pics today hopefull if there is still light out

Blitz is nice...have a volt meter and cabin temp built in. If you get the expensive ones it have a boost guage built in. Plus it has a little remote that you can mount on your dash.

yeh the dtt is the boost gauge one the fatt has the volt meter on it....the remote display is a nice feature that makes the install more clean and nice

i gotta brand new turbo timer for sale.

my friend ordered one and they sent him two by accident.

PM for pics

Something else I thought of, I also kept the DSS system that the dealer installs on all their vehicles. They usually remove them when sold, but I talked them in to keeping it in the car as an added security backup.

Will this cause any problems when I add the timer?
