Does anyone know what the purpose of the hex screw that covers the allen screw is for ? My caliper seems to be leaking from there. not sure if I should just replace the hex screw or rebuild the caliper. This is on my right rear caliper.

Also if I rebuild do I need to bleed all corners if I am only replacing this caliper?

Thank you guys in advanced for all the help.

if its leaking from that bolt, you need to either rebuild or replace. the only purpose for that bolt is to contain the adjustment gear.

Thank you Njaremka. Do you know the Difficulty of a rebuilt is ? Also if I would need to bleed all corners after I but this caliper back?

it is ALWAYS a good idea to bleed the brake system whenever you remove any component.

so Should I bleed all four coners or just the one i would be replacing ? (Right rear caliper)

Yes do all 4, start with the furthest from master cylinder and move closer after you bleed the one you replace, so you will do one twice unless its the rear passenger side

The minimum you have to do is bleed the affected caliper. 'Best' would be to flush the rest of the fluid from other calipers/lines too - but it is not required for this task.
I recommend just replacing the caliper (they are cheap) than trying to rebuild. Unless $$ is a big issue. You should not have to hone the cylinder for this job...
