rar40941's build thread

Just go on YouTube and look up my user name rar40941 and it will come up with all my videos and u will be able to see it

Cage = box surrounding the driver/interior. 6-18 point...
Roll bar = bar that goes over the drivers head - 4-6 point...

Guess what! My daily has a welded in cage! That must mean mines even ricer!? right?!

In a car that's pretty much stock yes it is rice. If its built, actually fast, and sees the track here and there I could see it, but I damn sure wouldn't daily it

Dang dude, you dropped the F-bomb 9 times in that video. I hope the Recaro replicas are decently made. Honestly, I wouldn't waste the money on a GT Spec rear trunk cage. Maybe just put in an MX6 rear strut tower bar but the way the GT Spec rear cage is built is pretty flimsy unless you drill out the mounting locations by the trunk and upgrade the hardware. But I kinda laughed when you said you were pissed you had to drill holes into the chassis for the roll bar. Did you expect double sided tape? lulz

However I noticed a significant increase in chassis stiffness after I pull my bar in. It really tightened up the car. And they do look cool.

Ya I sorry about that lol. The reps are nice made well. The bar I thought was going to to bult up to the seats or something.lol at the double sided sticky tape and ya my car vibrates alot more and I turn alot harder. I think I will just get the rear strut bar cause I want to see if it makes a difference. Yes I don't spell very well deal and Adams car is boss very much not rice.

Look what I picked up the other day thinking about using them. so I can have to two sets of wheels and maybe though some fat tires on them and handle better. Or I wi sell them I picked them up for 80 dollars. They are 16x9.5 +38.

-I wouldn't consider mg car built, but suspension? Definitely built. Every bolt on avalible, and then some.
-Definitely not fast
-Never sees the track. Don't need a track when you live in the PNW

IMHO; for people who like to enjoy the corners, even in a daily, a cage is more than worth it. Better than paying for all the useless GT-Spec s***....

Hey guys I totally for got to ask this when u instale the roll bare do u need to seal it in the bottoms parts so rain doesn't get In ur car or just making it tight will work ? Cause need to now it's raining over here lol

Your spelling is atrocious. Haha

When I installed mine I used some truck bed liner and sprayed the backing plates and hardware to seal everything out. You can pick up a can at the local Autozone and it will work well. :)

You can always mask the nuts off. But that spray sealer will separate when you want to remove it, no worries. It's not like a permanent seal or anything. It's a plyable rubber-like coating.

I'm not taking mine out so I just sprayed the crap out of it under the chassis and wheel well. haha

Alright thanks man I really like ur build by the way and just wondering are u trying to make ur protege 5 all wheel drive ?
