OK I am hooked on this idea now, a Rotary (or Zetec) AWD P5T running a lift kit and running over 300 hp with 1.5 bar boost. Fully built internals, stripped interior, roll cage,
oh, yeah...and it's gonna be my daily driver too. I just remove the whole cat-back at race time.

Just need to build an easy-to-remove A/V compartment!

If the TUNNEL is there...
why not swap in another AWD transmission?

WHAT mates up to the FS-DE?

LSDs; who has used the T-F or something else...I found a couple of others (Quaiffe?sp?) too. seriously considering doing this soon.

auto tranny upgrades to 5 spd or new clutch packs...any threads on this?

Has anyone done gull-wing doors on a P5 yet? Ya know u just treat the 2 side doors as 1 big one and cantilever it.
Way kewller than scissor doors.

I thought the rotary in a P5 was a dumb idea simply because the complexities involved and the end result. But if you are going to build a monster P5, hell ya, I am with ya, brotha. Now that would be a sight to behold.
 
go for it. contact corksport and they can give you the awd sport 20 components for something like 3k, then youve got some fabbing to do...

1) check out nepoc
2) wouldnt a rotary be less desirable for rally and/or awd due to lack of torque?
3) if u are a rally buff have u been to the MFR? I dont remember seeing any other pros there when i went
 
I have a video of a P5 rallying on my HD somewhere.

If you're really dedicated, I say get yourself some AWD goodies from corksport and go nuts. It's always been a dream of mine, but I'm broke.
 
Look for the drivetrain off of a V4 Tribute, 4WD... Better yet, find a V6 Tribute 4WD and to the whole swap! Imagine the Tribute V6 Turbo with a refined transmission, in a Rally P5!!!

The concept would be wicked if you could pull it off. I'd like to see a drifting p5, that would kickass!

actually... 12k P5 + 5k turbo (including extensive tuning) + 3-4k awd... it's still cheaper than a WRX.

obviously much cooler too
