natey and i just installed my racing beat rear sway bar today and damn it was a b**** to install. the bar came with a new rear crossmember with to little plates welded on to mount the sway bar brackets, so we needed to take the original crossmember out and install the new one. but after it was all finished, the handeling results were incredible. that bar tightened up the rear so nicely. wooooo suspension complete!!

Yeah the install was time consuming, but pretty easy, really. Only one little glitch and it was no biggie when all was said and done! I'll bet your P5 feels much more flat in the curves now, did you notice the difference between the two bars? The new one should feel much more positive. :D

When you were leaving my house, I could read the "racing beat" on the swaybar...neat-o!

wow. thats cool. ill try getting one soon. whats the estimate installation time? post pics if u can. :D

hmm i have a racing beat rear sway bar ..waiting for nice "warm" weather to do the install...ill be sure to ask u guys if i have any questions..good to know u did it..any pics of the process

laserbluemp5 and i split the sway bar kit. we bought it at the dealership for 280 and my half was only 100 (woowoo)

Roywhitep5, What exactly did you have to change out to do this swap. I have been thinking about doing this too, but I don't really know exactly what it is that I need to get. Sway bar, endlinks?, new cross member?, brackets?, anything else?

Would you mind getting under and taking a few pics so I can see what is different?

So what is your impression of the new bar?

By the way, I may be moving back up to the Bay. I am in SD right now, but my family lives just north of Bezerkeley. Some of my best friends live in SJ. MAybe if I come back up, I can join in on one of those hwy9 fun runs I hear so much about...

Thanks...
