Quieter Exhaust

I didn't like the noise level on my stock exhaust, so it had to go.

OP - you should do something like this to your exhaust

Finally got mine done. I went with the 12616 and a v-band clamp. Unfortunately, the v-band clamp didn't fit. I had it welded in place of the first resonator. It took a while because the sizes of the cat back were a bit different. Don't know why. Anyway, it sounds great. It's a little quieter, sounds a little smoother, and a little more refined. Can't explain it better than that.

ahahahah, copperkid had the first prototype from Racing Beat 2 years back, he did a entire write up and you tube video on the twin tip CBE....funny how you guys have similar screen names....and the next funny thing is he thinks now it's to loud.....Marines....what can you do.

That is WAY funny! I love mine and there is NO way I will ever think it is too loud. lol Funny about the screen names!

It could easily be getting louder with time as packing blows out.
 
I feel the same as the OP. I love the sound of the stock exhaust, but would like to go for something a little quieter in certain areas of the revband. I will be picking up a Racing Beat Dual Tip sometime in the not to distant future.
