ok so im driving today and im not really paying attention and i have to slam on my brakes. when i slam them on my box slides forward in my trunk, and my 4 channel amp which is mounted on the back of my box hit the back of the back seat. right after this my speakers (not subs) started fading in and out, and i looked at the amp and the protect light is on and then off. all the connections seem to be ok, is there anything else that can be wrong? is the amp ******, its a phoenix gold octane r 8.0:4 amp, probably about 3 years old, but i have never had a problem with it.

Try resetting the amp, either by removing the negative battery cable, or perhaps there is a switch on this amp model? im not sure. either that or you ****** it up good. nah im sure its nothing, protection mode is a good thing, could be just shorted, needs to be reset. good luck ;)
