very informative. I love the car..what are future plans on it?
Way to many to list, but exhaust, header, dgm fiberglass grill (or another hot front grill) DGM lip, tinted windows, new rotors and a ton of DGM interior parts.

Kinda wish DGM was my sponsor really :D

Would that stubby antena work on a regular Protege? Any plans on dropping the P5 at all?

Hey I saw that stubby antenna on ebay too. Do you still get the same reception on the radio as before?

Ah thats why I couldn't find it. I search "protege antenna" and these ugly ones came up. Then after seeing that link i searched "mazda antenna" and thats where they were all hiding. Thanks guys. Iceman the car looks hot. Love the colour.

So is there a difference in reception in the new antenna?

I drove my 22 km into the city today for class and noticed no difference whatsoever.

That doesnt mean it won't happen, but for daily life I don't think it will be a problem.

Update 10/10/05

Well latest update

Mazdaspeed P5 Axelback Exhaust !

Purchased from another forum member and local now MSP owner, I drove out to his place and the work was done in one afternoon.

The stock Axelback section looks like it got worked on by the previous owner, like he broke the flange or something, becuase one of the two studs was broken and welded to the other flange instead. It had to be cut off to remove it.

Pic of stock P5 piece of crap:

So next up was preppig the new piece, which had a broken stud on one side. SO the weld was cut, the old bolt tapped out, and a new one put in to replace it.

Then the exhaust was hung and bolted up. Thanks to Matt (aka Nightmare aka pseudospeed aka xeno aka stopchangingyourfackingname) who did alot of the work, because he's done this kind of thing a few times before.

And then that was it, all done:

Looks really good, still classy. Not too loud, nice and deep sounding, all around feels really good!

< stay tuned for more folks :D >
