Ok, just went for my second oil change...and to get some kind of solution for this squeaking noise..."problem solved" they said...hmmm...as soon as I get out of the lot...I get off the sidewalk..and SQUEAK!!!!!!! if someone out there has a sure way to fix that please tell me because I feel like beating someone that works at Mazda...It's either a squeak or a f%@#$ clunking noise...That car is very lucky that it's beautiful or I would sooo trash it...Also, anyone getting a bad signal sometimes from our stereos???

I may be able to help you out, need a little more info though than it just squeaks or clunks. when does it squeak, ie: going over bumps when the body flexes...etc, and from what area does the squeak seem to be coming from?

What do you mean by a bad signal? I get computer clicking when the stereo is at low volumes. Service dept. said that "the guys at tech line had never heard any complaints like this and are looking into it". 3 months later (today) I called and asked if they found a cure. I proposed that a stereo shop look into this as it is an aftermarket stereo and they deal with these problems daily. I am waiting for their answer. I'll keep you posted if this is a similar problem to yours.

The stereo "clicking and/or hum" at low volumes is probably the alternator...mine does it all the time (Pioneer deh8200). Didn't do it so bad in the jeep but it's pretty bad in my protege. only way to really fix it is to put a noise filter on the 12v constant power wire to the radio. you can pick em up for about 10-15 bucks just about anywhere.
