Post pics of your Mazda5

That sucks. I wonder why Mazda USA made that decision. My understanding is that the 5 demographic is mostly new families, young moms, which explains the limited range of seating position for the driver (shorter people). That said, if you're gonna offer it at all, why not make it an option on the sport version?

I think the limited range of seating is more likely due to the smaller stature of home market buyers. The 5 was NOT designed with North America in mind IMHO. The men in Japan average 5'7 and women 5'2. Not having a stick in the US is because people hardly buy them unless there is an enthusiast reason. In the case of the 5, it helps create a "budget" 5 with a very low MSRP. Not sure why you should not be able to special order one though, its the same structurally so its no big deal to do it. Then again, its no big deal to add the skirts, spoiler and install leather too, only the sunroof is a PITA aftermarket.

Here is a few of mine...

You will notice that I painted the bottom of the van.. I wasn't done yet, but it looks nice from the back... The driver behind you sees the white color of the van, and white underneath too.

The other one is with my bicycle rack. Not too pretty, I understand.. But its easy to install and even with 4 bikes attached, this thing won't move an inche...

Hi, nice ride.
I like ur pics.... also, i wonder where do u get ur bug deflector?
any purchase info for me? thanks

Hi guys, here are pics of european Mazda 5 2,0 Sport packet with blackout rear foglights in bumper and 3rd brake light, removed door moulding, 8x18" Corniche Topaz, lowered 40mm. Hope you will like it.

Yes, Rear fogs are OEM in Europe because of european laws. Every car have to have at least one rear fog.

GG7, Looking very nice! Generally those wheels are not my style but it matches the M5 body lines very nicely.

Where can we get that roof rack in the US!?

Where can we get that roof rack in the US!?

The old question ;)

I'm yet to see one imported and installed here after 5 years. I recall that long time ago somebody posted the roof installation for Europe, while it looks the same at first glance it seems that the NA base position/hole distance is bit different, so is not bolt-on

Nice looking 5 GG7, but you need to cover those holes on the trunk, the water will drop in and rust will come out faster than you think. I'm dreaming of this rear bumper for at least a year now.

Tu voudrais changer avec moi mdr :D. ?

Pretty sure the "hole" you are referring to is a back up camera. It also looks like his 5 has front a rear parking sensors. Of course I could be mistaken as well.

<edit> Never mind I looked at the pic bigger and I am pretty sure you are referring to the holes from where the Mazda5 badge used to be.............

Thanks guys. I am pretty happy that you like our Mazda 5. Do not be affraid of rusting the holes on trunk. Those holes are there about 5 years :) The big difference between cars in USA and in Europe is that the european cars have body parts zinced (galvanised) - except the plastic parts. Also every car has warranty of rusting for 10 years ! It does not matter if you have BMW or Mazda.
The black "hole" on the trunk is button for key-less-system. You have a "card" on your bag, you only push the button and car gets open. Do not you have an opportunity to choose this feature in USA ?
Note: Points in rear and front bumpers is parking assitent. It is very necessaire in big towns. There are very small parking places.

GG7 your 5 is excellent. I especially like the rear bumper cover and the exhaust tip.

N.A. 5's have a pocket remote that includes a specifically cut key that fits the driver door (the only outside keyed lock) and the ignition. No smart card to lock/unlock doors, windows, start the car or arm\disarm the alarm etc. With the remote, we may only lock and unlock one/all the doors while setting'disabling the alarm.

BTW, what year is your 5?
