port campaign sticker in engine bay

The port campaign sticker has to do with the production number of the 03.5 cars...for example, mine says 753 which means mine was number 753 out of 1000 03.5's made.

mine doesn't have one that I can see I have a 2003.5 yellow speed where would it be again is it just inside the engine bay?

I have one too.

I want to know where the proof of the flash is? It's not that blue dot on the MAF, is it?

Ok.. here's the scoop...

I called mazdausa and asked about the sticker. He couldn't give me much info except that the date on the sticker happened to coincide with the date my car's subwoofer was replaced or installed at the port.

So, it seems like they're doing some inspections at the port and when something needs correcting, they do that work and place a sticker inside the engine bay. I'm speculating that the 747 code I have refers only to Subwoofer replacement but Mazda customer service couldn't verify that this was the case.

Seems the date is the key for the info they have when you give them your VIN. This explains why there are some different codes out there dealing with other fixes done at inspection time. So, it's good to know that they checked them out. I also got my production number during the same call. Cool... I'm 932.

Give that man a prize:) . The campain sticker is for a rework on the subwoofer box. Kenwood had the box made by Q-from. It seams the last set of boxes that where made had a defect. We had to ship about 30 of them back to Q-from have them rework. I notice that some of the sub's also had a updated amp on them. Some of you may have a new style of kenwood amp's. And by the way the ports also did the reflash to. The WDS machine is a over priced OBD2 scaner but is fun to play with. I don't remaber the code on the port campaign sticker. To read the sticker the top numbers are the campaign code what thay did, the (DA) on the sticker is the port it was preformed at. DA is in midaloafey TX sorry for the spelling. JX is jacksonville FL. Then there is one in New jersey, michagin, Washington,Cali, and canada.I don't reamber the codes for the other ones right now.I look to see if I can find any more port campaigns. Later

Well I guess I could understand that sub woofer explanation. I have never had my face or sub blow and I beat the s*** out of my system. Some people on here have had thier subs exchanged many times...I guess it kind of makes you think.

Thanks for the info FUNRS. I guess you get to smell "new car smell" all day long. Not a bad job! :)

Bump

Does anyone have any definitive information on decoding port campaign information? How many different ones have there been for Mazdaspeeds?

Mine is on the right side of the firewall as #753 with the port code given as "49163 WN" and is dated 7/29/03 (build date was in March).
