I hate using a dial up connection. It makes me want to suffocate myself with saran wrap.

What does everyone else use? Are you living back with your parents and living in the stone age like me?

Cable all the way. I thought about dial up but when the opportunity came for cable I went for it. I like it more. Cost is high but its ok. I live with my mom and my little brother for now. (cool)

DSL here and I'll NEVER go back. It's $20/month more than dial-up for me, but it's EASILY worth it. It pays back itself a zillion times over once you get your own home network set up...plus the speed is nice of course.

ive had dial up for 4 years and it didnt bother me...i just went to comcast a few days ago....so its a faster ..just more high speed bordem in my opinion

I agree and dont agree. Its so fast that I get all my stuff done and then there are no new replies to any of the forums and I sit there, but I was one of those insane nail bitters that hated waiting for the pages to load when I had dial up

SBC DSL. never hiccupped on me and never have been off internet for more that 6 hours. Hooked up to linksys waprouter and now got 24/7 connection to all PC's and PPC in house.

Optimum online UNCAPPED download/upload cable (tested it's 5.4Mbit down 1.5Mbit up)... good stuff (until you "upload too much" as defined by them and they threaten to shut you down and tell your parents you must be doing something illegal to upload that much... i was uploading video clips that i edited for a project I was working on in school). (eek2)

I think it's only 49.99 a month but those speeds are just because they don't cap it in my town (I'm not sure why.. they don't cap it but if you use it "too much" they threaten you).
