Here are some pics of my Pro 5 sitting outside the Mazda showroom at work. Some of them are inside the detail bay where I had just finished polishing and sealing the paint. Few pics of the underside where you can see my Progress 22mm rear sway, GT-Spec ladder brace and a glimpse of my Racing Beat cat-back. Tell me what you think!

we have vinyl stickers with our dealership name on them to stick on the back of our cars. I modified one of them into the Flying M and put it on the surround after a coat of primer (I sanded all the original paint off first, down to the bare plastic). Finished it off with 3 coats of silver to match the other pieces followed by 3 coats of clear.

oh damn gotta hate that curb rash. Nice pics the car is sparkling. Why do you have a MP3 emblem on the engine?

Those rims look so similar to the ones I used to have...(sssh)
Car looks good Moonman!(rockon) The curb rash was on them when I bought my MP3 from the previous owner.

The MP3 emblem was on the valve cover when I bought the car. I don't feel like scraping adhesive residue off of bare aluminum if I were to take it off...I don't think it looks that bad.

Thanks to 4thunder for the MP3 wheels. Gave me a great deal. No worries on the curb rash, I'm still looking into getting them fixed. The guy that fixes the wheels on the trades at work said about $100 to fix all 4. Not bad I think and he does really good work.

great link! great how-to. but I think that all 4 need to be refinished in their entirety to get back to (or at least close to) brand new quality. I would definitely be looking into repairing them myself if it was just a few small spots near the bead but they need a bit more than that. There are a few scratches and the clear coat is on its last leg on a couple of them.

This is not to say that I got a set of bad wheels. When I received them from 4thunder, they came with rubber and when I threw them on the balancer (just to check in case the shipper tossed them a bit too hard) and each wheel was not only perfectly round, they were still balanced! For the deal he gave me, a little refinishing is no big deal at all. Many many thanks to 4thunder for probably the best looking, most complimented, most bang for the buck mod I've done.

No prob Moon! (first) Does it ride any different now?

The tires I had on my stockers had gotten to the point of vibrating really bad but the Falkens that you sent with the wheels ride like a dream! The ride especially at highway speeds is smoother. The Falkens are 205/45/17 but I'm thinking of replacing them with 215/40/17 but I'm hesitant about the 40 series sidewall. Any ideas?

As for my suspension, I'm still on stock shocks and springs but I've stiffened up the chassis with a GT-Spec 4-point ladder brace and a Progress 22mm rear sway bar. I'll go with Tokico HPs (Blues) when the stockers decide to give up the ghost. Haven't decided if I'm going any lower or not but if I do, it will be with Eibachs.

I reinstalled the roof rack yesterday and I like the look of it much better with it on. It gives those roof-length plastic pieces a purpose.
