s*** man.. i cant remember the name of the paint.. s*** s*** s***.. it was um... vinyl something... vinyl coat?? vinyl.. hmm.. i THINK it was called Vinyl Coat... either way.. it was spray paint specifically made for vinyl. I picked it up at pep boys for about 5 bucks a can.. and only took about 2 cans of each color... maybe 3... anyway... it keeps the grooves and little crevices of the vinyl PERFECTLY.. it seriously looks like it was dyed not painted... and it keeps the dimples in the handles perfectly too... only think you need to watch for is when your painting the parts that are plastic (like the door opener handle thingy) make sure to either sand it VERY LIGHTLY with a FINE GRAIN paper, or use some other spray paint that is made for plastics as a base coat.. otherwise the vinyl stuff wont stick that well to the plastic and you'll have to do coat after coat after coat after coat to get it to look solid w/out and weird spots
it really wasnt too hard... too me a total of about 10 hours over 2 days... but i suggest you let stuff dry and sit alot longer than i did... i was doing coats after every half hour or so... which is fine.. but you should let it sit over night and set.. i didnt do that.. and i regret it now just cuz i didnt really do the job right.. doesnt look any worse... but its just better to do something right.... imma go back and go over most of it again... i'll try and take pictures this time
Thanks for your answer Protege01MP3, but my question was more for PRO 5.
The finish look like powder coat.. on the pictures. And the other day I found some paint is made to look like that and I was just wondering if it'S a good stuff?
Spoolin, this is my second job but I always have lots work. I do as much hours in this second job that I do in my first job which is in computer programming for a financial institution.
I checked out your site... WOW!! holy s*** man.. your one talented little mofo... now.. once you make a design... do you somehow create a template for it? or is every single helmet done by hand by airbrush?? I'm figuring that you do everything by hand.. anyway... AMAZING WORK stou! good job
--edit--
just checked out the your site again stou.... like the charicatures of the Duster and the Ram.... this just occured to me.... if you wanted to airbrush some MP3, P5 and MSP charicatures on t-shirts... im sure you could probably sell a few of em here on the board
maybe even put a logo for the board on the back of the shirts... eh? eh?? how bout that one??
--edit--
About the T-shirt, I already done one design for our local club, ClubProtegeQuebec.com (French website). I did this design and we find a t-shirt shop that did the printing on the shirt.
Joe (KzA) unfortunately I don't sell my hood. I will remove it for the winter and I'll probably do a design on it!

Hell I'd buy one... and I know alot of places right around here (atleast three ive been too offhand) that do printing for damn good prices... I dont know.. just an Idea... but would LOVE a shirt w/ a charicature of my car on it
