Linux did the FS-ZE motor swap some time back. He actually spoke with my brother Jeremy who did the Sport20 conversion complete with the FS-ZE motor over three years ago. My brother Jeremy actually had the first street (non-racing aplication) FS-ZE swap in the country. So believe me when I say I know about these cars.
The FS-ZE is hardly the stock N/A 2.0L. We also have another friend (by the name of Jeremy) that did the FS-ZE swap and dynoed at 130WHP and 130+Lb/Ft. That is versus 100-108 from some of the dyno runs I've seen posted elsewhere on the site for the P5. ES ,DX, and LXs will all be in the same range.
To my knowledge, Linux is going to be goin turbo, so if the power is right, he'll be gear limited. I'm glad that this post has stirred some attention. I just find it hard to dispute math, physics, and some of the controlled top speed testing done by various publications. I love the Protege lineup, but am gonna question anything that seems BS. We don't need the whole forum sounding like a kill in someones BS racing stories.
