Doesnt SRmotorsports offer a 9lb or something...?
Yes they do. I have one and love it. I put it on the same time I put on my shorty header. MAN what a differance.

(stooges) Ya I guess I worded that poorly. I guess what I ment to say was do you find yourself having to work the clutch excessively(alot more than stock) when in stop and go traffic to keep the car from stalling? I mean you can let the car kinda coast abit in stock form and the RPMS don't fall too quickly so you don't have to keep working the clutch. How does the light flywheel do in that situation?
Thats still not the best explanation...(doh)

I say it's the oposite. Because of the lighter flywheel I don't have to push in the clutch as much. I drive 45 min aday in stop and go traffic and have done so for 2 yrs on this flywheel cluch combo. I had a new cluch put in at the same time. Any ways, because the light weight I can roll from 20 mph to almost a stop and it not bog down and then when traffic moves just give it some gas and go.

I have had the Fidanza on for 20,000 miles. No problem at all with driveability. I suggest you do the right thing and buy the Fidanza, don't half ass it. :)

I had SPD Racing, (when they were around) install a flywheel from the Familia in Japan. It supposedly weighs about 13 pounds. It seems to rev a bit quicker than before. You might want to consider this as an option.

lol I try that and my rear engine mount is like "HELL NO!!!" good thing my suspension is modded or my car would rock like a b**** when the engine bucks.

Dude stop it " To Light " Get the Fidanza The BEST...
Good Luck

Fidanza is 7.5 lbs, too light. The one from Corksport is 18 lbs. Trying to find something in the 13-15 lb range.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Good info, thanks thats just what I was looking for.:) The problem is you have half the people saying its terrible and the other half saying its awsome but some people don't always give reasons for either opinion.

as cheap as possible. i'm just using it to swap my UR flywheel out of my old p5. i don't want to do the mp3's...i need to get a clutch and crap for the tranny first...but i'd like to get my UR out of the p5 before we sell it.

I have no idea what this is worth. lol So make me an offer. Of course I will let it go cheap, because I highly doubt I'll ever re-install this in my P-5.
Shipping might be a pain because of the weight.

This is true, but look at the people say yea -v- nea! The guys say yea actally have a LF in their cars. The others don't. I'd go with the 9 or the 7. I would have went with 7lbs I got a hell of a deal on this one. The guy bought the wrong one and it didn't fit his car. Cost me 200.

true, most who say nay don't have one. I do recall seeing 1 or 2 people who say they had it and removed it due to poor driveability but thats it. It seems most who rep the lightweight flywheel are reputable members of this site.:)

Well, didn't expect this much response. Most seem to be in favour of the 7.5.

What are some of the driveability issues for those that have the 7.5? What are some of the things you noticed after switching from the stock flywheel?

Also I plan to use a new OEM clutch, will this be an issue with the 7.5?

Thanks for the input.

i also have a fidanza 7.5 and i love it, but it did take a little getting use to. I also have an upgraded clutch and would think it will be better to have an upgraded clutch, just because you'll have to ride the clutch a little more to get moving due to the weight reduction
