Okay so got the protege running but threw the p2009 low voltage or the VTCS solenoid circuit low voltage. I swapped it out still doing it, went to get some voltage and ohm readings and MM took a s*** on me.
My question is, has one ever had to track down a shorted, grounded or broken wire with this trouble code?
I won't pass inspection because of the CEL and wanted to get anyone's experience who has had to track down the wiring harness to find the source of the problem.
Just picked up a new auto-ranging MM so I can check this out, but really think its going to be impossible with the engine in the car.
Any thoughts would be great.
